I think it,s a f***ing disgrace what going on in the C.R.C. they should all be made pay that public money back and if they have spent it there homes should be taken off them and sold to recoup the losses . they should be ashamed of them self they don,t be long in society . all of the other charity,s are going to suffer because of this scandal .

You must try and understand the Golden Circle do not do ashamed or embarrassment, and applies to all parties.
Ps. what about the coffins and the big one living off shore.

I find this story particularly distressing, and I can only imagine how it will impact long term on the CRC. Who wants to give their time and hard earned money to fundraise or donate to a charity when they know it is being used to fuel greed.

And what will be done? Fcuk all. "Contractual obligations" "Legal reasons" "Reform will be implemented going forward" . People will bitch, time will pass, not two fcuks will be given.

Ireland is the most corrupt country in the developed World. Always has been and always will be. Dont fool yourself otherwise.

Hopefully when they get rid of the corrupt, people will start to appreciate the voluntary people who are still there. The corrupt have got to brought to task to protect the genuine people, some who give all their time for the disabled.
I do not hold out much hope for this to happen though, there to many corrupt people looking after their own interest to give a fook about the voluntary sector who support the institutions who the state fail to support

Russia is a dream by comparison, as is Albania. Or Brazil. Or Coloumbia. I could go on.

Ireland isn't, it just has a certain class of cnut that is expert at extracting capital by the boatload in a way that is very hard to class as criminal. There's always a sly little agreement, a neat little contract, a longstanding arrangement. And what is Joe Soap supposed to do? Protest? Good luck with that.

Yeah, because the meek will indeed inherit the earth, but only if the b0lloxes die and leave it to them.

They may as well change the name from the friends of the CRC to the friends of Fianna fail!

Because Nama and FG don't give all the work going to their friends and associates, at all, at all.

Has anyone mentioned the use of a credit card which was meant for business but was also used for 'perks'.
When these guys were being interviewed for these jobs was it a given that they had to be a parasite and a leech as part of the application process.

Just heard our dear leader on the news there on tv3 saying that this was a part of the past and is longer happening. Does that idiot really think we believe that?

What has happened at the CRC is sickening but I would bet my next pay cheque that it won't be the last or worst of what these cnuts get up to on other charities.:(

In my opinion there is no difference in this story and the cronyism of the Government. They gave family members well paid positions. Wasn't Gilmour's wife well looked after too.
A bit two-faced watching them complain about this today.

They were elected on a policy of cleaning up politics and all they have done is continue what FF were doing.

Yes, they came from low life and qualified in the art, and got degrees in corruption, and parasiteism in the school of politics.

Actually I don't believe that twaddle for a second. Some of the sh1t I have seen going on in this country rivals some developing nations.

This scandal is a new all time low, and the board members who are complicit in this can have no defense. The public gave generously to this charity for years, on the understanding that the money collected would benefit sick children.

Whether Kiely & co. give the money back or not, they are now disgraced forever... I feel sorry for their families.

Why feel sorry for their families, they were living off the fat of the land.
Private schools on the backs of invalid kids, get a grip.

I feel sorry for the families of the sick children, the collectors who stood out in all weathers and the staff who were relying on these donations.
These CEO's and their families benefited from it and not those it was intended to help.

I suppose what I meant is these guys families might not feel entirely comfortable or safe to go out and about as normal, because of the sins of their fathers, so to speak.

Saw some elderly volunteers at Christmas, in the local shopping centre, selling the CRC teddy bears. People passed by, without a second glance, whereas in previous years, I am sure, they would have donated.
This story has revealed a cynicism at the heart of these organisations that is very very hard to take. Sadly, I don't believe anything will change, and those with the huge top ups, and pension pots will walk away, unscathed.

Irish corruption is modest set against say Italy or Greece but looks awful besides Denmark or Sweden (who no doubt have their own little scandals), not that comparisons are required - dealing with the "cvnt class" who expect to get away with enriching themselves on the publics money is where we should spend our energy.
