Following on from the story that Advance Pitstop used 20 interns last year & gave none of them a job, this year they advertised 28 internships.

Strange how BMW have this picture on their web catalogue, isn't it? :pac:

    Oh dear!

And also have this part number: 51470027792

and also have it listed on their ETK

    http://www.bmwetk.info/catalogue-des-pi%C3%A8ces/prd/BMW/VT/P/E93/Cab/335i/USA/L/N/2005/10/50176/51/51_7142/51470027792

    :p

Suddenly it hits him like explosive diarrhea that he missed that on ordering, probably currently in a complete meltdown looking at the pedals beside that blank lonely rest where there should be a 4th piece to make it all symmetrical....

Maybe that's why the rest and surrounding carpet is dirty, he just can't accept it anymore, the rest have moved on, it's different to the rest  :P

    What's this, fvcken pedalgate?!

You have very little to be doing if you're going to these extents to catch me out.

Ring JKC BMW in Coleraine and ask them for the footrest pedal. I promise you they will say they can't get them.

I'd this recently looking for poly bushes for my car, mechanic tried a few factors and they couldn't source them, had to go to an alfa specialist to get them.

They were not advertised as being available by alfa though, that's what would get me in this instance

Lots of BMW footrest plates on eBay..

Edit: They're not OEM of course. But it might restore motoring equilibrium. :P

That's because they were never supplied by alfa. They're made by powerflex who made them and then sold them through independent specialists like autolusso etc.

Round 2 of rear diffuser fitting this afternoon

It's stuck pretty good tbh, put a block with bubble wrap around it under each of the thin parts to keep them flush then a stick supported by a alloy wheel to keep it true and flush to the corners on top then a brick on each wheel with a stick keeping it true on the little seam around it and then finally a brick on a bucket with bubblewrap on it pushing 2 sticks against the middle to keep it true and along the seam with a wooden deck chair to put some weight against it. Lol looks like some voodoo offering to the gods, even my dog jumped in suprise when he saw it first

Will post up pics of the way i have it held on overnight and what it looks like fitted in the morning :)

I only know it exists cos I was looking at them myself not that long ago :p And it took under 5 minutes to find all that, not exactly a huge waste of my time thanks to the mighty powers of the internet :P

Plenty of US websites sell it too ;)

George Dalton is finding it hard to find a bloody front wheel bearing for mine!
And Febi only stock the passenger upper control arm......wtf?

Edit: you would think places would stock plenty of alfa parts :)

Im getting the no-name (is "DTM Style" a name?) square tipped and upwards tilted backbox changed today on my E34 to a hopefully much nicer sounding (and clearly nicer looking) Magnaflow backbox.

Cannot stand the sound out of it atm, idiot who put it on told me it (prior to my ownership) it was whisper quite when cruising...

Handy piece of kit that I'll bet.

I've just been using a few of those silica pouches from furniture at work as needed

    Fair amount of moisture.

How long were they in for?

Couple of months - seals arent too bad will leak very small amounts after long stints of rain..reckon alot of the moisture is a result of the previous owner not addressing the issue.

Ive done a few fixes such as eccentric offset kit, "silicone fix" and rejuvenated seals with water repellent silicone grease.....they were very leaky when I got her at first so much so there would be a puddle on your trousers!

    Grabbing another 2 dehumidifiers later

Was using them as well - this is basically a giant silica pouch (thats whats in it) with a water catch beneath
