Toure out for Gerrard if he's injured. Gerrard has a game against Villa and then Everton. Does well in big games usually

Aguero for Lukaku also if Sergio's back which it looks like he will be

Gerrard was playing in front of the back 4 yesterday even lucas was further forward than him at times. I personally wouldnt go near him however typical FF logic doesnt seem to apply this season.

yeah and I a read a quote from him where he said he was told he'd be playing that role a lot more now. he is still on penalties of course but won't be raking in the type of points he would have in previous season's.

Not sure if anyone noticed but they've changed Aguero to a yellow flag now . Means his price won't be frozen/protected when he returns from injury .

he might be playing against Blackburn tomorrow.

he also wont be getting to take too many free kicks with suarez around either.

Hopefully he starts leaving the pens to the big man!

    Not a good news.

The previous "price changes" system was so much better IMO...
Now it's all favouring the knee-jerk reactions...

Just realised that Marshall is the same price as fit again Boruc despite being muuuuuuuuuuuch better with all their defenders back fit.

Also realised he rotates fantastically with Speroni, who is my sub keeper atm rotating with Marshall.

    Then looked at Southamptons fixtures.

    BOOM. Instant transfer.

Would be nice if Marshall went up to 4.8 - would allow me to do straight swap.

With 3 lads doubtful for the weekend is now the time to use my wildcard? Only have 1 free transfer and have to replace Yaya, Walker and Barkley

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

None of them are 100% out though are they?

Somebody mentioned Barkley missing six weeks due to a metatarsal injury.

Barkley is definitely out with a broken toe. Between the other 2 being doubtful and me free falling down 140k places from 60k in a month I think its time for drastic changes

Thinking of a straight transfer - Henderson for Wilshere. What you guys think?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Haha one bad bandwagon for another...

Thinking about doing Negredo to Sturridge for the Villa game, catching price rise hopefully and then getting Aguero in for him next week. Is it worth it or a waste of two transfers?

Will Kolarov definitely start v Cardiff? He has to be pretty sure of his place ATM?

He might fit my 1 week punt in a non glamorous way but very likely to get 2 rises if I buy him tonight....

Can't see Aguero rise between Wed and sat and even if he goes up 0.1 I'd still be ok to get him back.

75 points for GW21 and a cs for ars would have meant breaking the 80 point barrier for me (had both mert and kos :(:()for the first time since GW12.

Will negredo start as much as he is now after aguero is up and running.
Thinking of nailing down my strikeforce to Suarez Aguero and Giroud. with Lukaku and adebayor as backup when ars faces tricky fixtures.

Also which is the ideal GK pair.
i heard Mannone and Mcgregor are a good combo.
    then Marshall and Boruc/Speroni.

Using my WC this week, need to sort things up.

I can link you again to my appraisal of the Marshall-Mannone pair => http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=88362551&postcount=410 even though Marshall recent form is a major concern but surely with his fixture list he has a couple of CS in him ?!

And I found again the FFS article about Jan WC Goalkeepers selection. Here are the combinations it discusses. Full detail here => http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2014/01/02/winter-wildcard-goalkeeper-pairings

Nice work. I'd discount the Jussi options tho - he's had a bad last few months and has been dropped recently. Adran who came in for him has made mistakes too tho, so it could be back to Jussi in a few weeks.

I see Adrian as the favourite for the jersey right now. If I knew he'd get it I'd have him straight in the team. Other worry about West Ham is if they sack the manager. Both keepers are competent

I can't buy a clean sheet for a goalkeeper since Gameweek 3 so not even thinking about it. Brought Howard in due to his good run, he gets me 0 clean sheets and a sending off (which triggered a -4 point hit) - I get rid of him and he keeps a clean sheet! I'm sticking with Mannone/Marshall and assuming I will never get a CS, can never be disappointed then...

As for this weeks transfer, I'll either be banking it, or doing a double for -4. All depends on whether Yaya and Aguero are likely to start against Cardiff. Hoping we know before Saturday.

Do we think Sterling has any chance of starting now Studge is back?

Sell Sterling...his bench days are back. He will come up though as a impact sub. but start seems out of reach.

Is Gnabry worth a punt as a cheap differential midfielder? He's 4.2.. Not sure if he would get a decent run of games

Off the field for a few days because of a back injury. Hope to be back on my feet soon!!

Whats my next move? I resisted using my WC last GW and I'm going to resist using it this week aswell

I'd suggest to sell Ozil Yaya & lukaku and bring in eriksen adebayor and wilshere (upgrade the def with the balance money)

    Cabaye out for Lallana.

If Aguero is fit it gives you a headache though as you are £0.1m short to swap for Negredo.

I'm not playing the WC this week though. I took a -8 hit last week because of 3 players that were injured/not starting. I dont envisage me doing that again this week

    Lallana or Eriksen??

As for the headache, I've the WC next week :) Aguero is often sluggish after injury and I dont think Blackburn @ home is a good yardstick tbh
