I imagine Aguero and Negredo will pinch about 20% of the votes.

Wise move. Negredo should get 90 id expect aguero to be taken off for dzeko on the 60/70 mark. If I had negredo I wouldn't swap him to aguero this week

This is my predicament now, my other striker is Lukaku and i'm thinking of sacrificing him for Aguero and doubling up on the City strikeforce but with Lukaku returning to West Brom I can see him doing a bit of damage also.

In a way i'd love for Pelligrini to rule Yaya out for the weekend thus forcing my hand transfer wise, I just get the feeling that if i'm left to my own devices the Gods will conspire to ensure I make a balls of it. If Negredo is certain to start as is suggested then I can't remove him in current form.

Every week someone gives a reason for why lukaku is going to do good, and every week they're almost entirely wrong, but eventually someone is going to be right, right? Maybe this'll be the week.

Im a city fan and i dont think Aguero will start this weekend, pelligrini will ease him back into it and we have plenty of games to do it before the big ones, aguero has broke down before when rushed i see no need to do it again and with the form Dzeko and Negredo are in we are in a position where we can afford not to start him.

Well one of the drawbacks of this forum is that every once in a while you get drawn in by the hyperbole that surrounds some of the distinctly average players who come into a bit of form, just like Demba Ba last year I got sucked in by the talk of Lukaku and Evertons great fixtures, because the fixtures have remained favourable I've never had the balls to move him on. The one thing this premier league season has seen a lot of is players scoring and acting like they've just heard that their granny has died, for this reason I'm probably very unlikely to move him out before the West Brom game.

I'll give him this though, he takes up good positions and has been unlucky not to score a few more recently, this is frustrating and encouraging in equal measure.

    Adrian Gazzinga

    Azpil Chester Sagna Gabbidon Vlaar

    Ozil Barry Hazard Fletcher Januzaj

    Saurez Aguero Rodriguez

    Any advice please

Should say on wildcard so can make unlimited changes

What advice do you need, you must have a lot of money banked as that team has a very low value. Fletcher is a waste of time, Barry less so but despite decent returns of late he's not going to do much scoring or assisting, Ozil is too expensive but that's just my opinion. There are a lot of problems with that team IMO, tell us what you want to do, how many transfers etc, because you have Aguero can we assume you've already made a transfer this week?? etc

Just saw your edit that its wildcard. make many changes, I'll have another look in while when I've time, what is your team value?

anyone know if Silva will be playing on saturday?

    Other than Pellegrini? No.

I assume both he and Yaya will start.

Do yo not think dzeko has played a lot of football lately though. Since the palace game on dec 28th he has started 6 games in 17 days the newcastle game being the only game where he failed to complete the 90 mins. Negredo on the other hand didnt start the palace game and has been subbed off a few times most importantly last night IMO. Aguero is back training over a week so they arent exactly rushing him back. Negredo and aguero up top would seem the most likely to me.

I'd tend to lean towards Aguero not starting. City at home to Cardiff is a perfect game to introduce him when most likely your team is a few goals up. Going on City's home form i'd nearly expect the game to be over by half time. Either way i can't see him getting the full 90. He has been out of action a few weeks after all.

And just a random fact about Lukaku. Last time he played on a Monday night was against Newcastle back in September. He got 2 goals and an assist and the 3 BPS. Factor in it's against a previous team of his and i expect nothing less than double his last output on MNF. I can see 4 goals and 2 assists at least.

I think the fact he took Negredo off and left Dzeko on for the 90 said it all. Aguero and Negredo to start and Dzeko on for Aguero after 60 or 70 mins (after he has scored a hat trick :) )

Thats it with zero in the bank.

I could change rodriguez to campbell freeing up 1.1 and ozil to lallana freeing up 2.5 leaving 3.7 to reinvest was looking at a 3-4-3 formation?

    Looks like this now

    Boruc Gazzinga

    Azpil Sagna Distin Gabbidon Chester

    Henderson Lallana Hazard Osman Januzaj

    Saurez Aguero Campbell

    ??

Do what you need to do to get Barry and Fletcher out at the very least. As well as that your goalies are a disaster, how long will Jussi remain sidelined??
Ozil seems the most obvious way to free up the cash.

    Balls, lost 0.1 on Podolski..

Now only have 8.0 to buy a new forward unless I take a -4..

Adebayor seems like my only option :)

Unless I activate my wildcard but I don't want to.. :o

OK......I'm looking at taking out Barkley tonight before his drop. I have 9.1m to spend on a MID with a view to his next 2 fixtures (I will be wildcarding after that).

    Current sq:

    Mignolet McGregor

    Terry Coleman Clyne Vlaar Chester

    Ozil Yaya Lallana Sterling Barkley

    Suarez Negredo Giroud

    My options appear to be:

Ramsay (Not 100% to play - Would mean trebling up on Arsenal but not overly worried because of their 2 fixtures).
    Wilshere (Same as above)
Oscar (I currently have no attacking CHE cover)
    Willian (Same as above)
Cabaye (Away to WH and NOR)
Take a punt on Sunderland: Adam Johnson (Home to SOU and STOKE) or Ki
Eriksen (Unattractive fixtures: Away to SWA, home to Man City)

So it's basically 50:50 as to whether or not Aguero will start. I think I'll transfer him in and let Adebayor go. I'm not overly concerned about what Aguero does against Cardiff but I'm afraid of what Adebayor can potentially do against Swansea.

Oops. I'm 0.3 short of Adebayor to Aguero. I don't really want to sell Lukaku this week and I'm not taking a hit to bring Aguero in. Don't know what to do.

I think its more like 80/20 Aguero starts.

I'm just keeping Negredo this week.

the plsn at the moment is Ramsey/Aguero for Ozil/Negredo next week.

the beast is on a tear and I don't see him being dropped for a league game while it's so tight.

Exactly the same position as yourself, and tempted to even hold on Negredo full-stop with the way he's performing.

Saving this week's transfer anyway to allow for the above.

F**k it, I can't risk not having Aguero if my rival has taken a hit for him. Transfer done, 4 point hit taken. Don't even care if he plays or not now!

That's how I saw things, I may not gain as a result but I definitely won't lose ground due to aguero, and on the plus side even if things don't work out i'll be able to bank his price increase.

I see that Ramsay and Arteta have been ruled out of this weekends game, and Rosicky is a doubt. This adds serious weight to the Wilshere option.

Well, hit the WC button and done some transfers... Happy enough but the bench is terrible :)

    Mannone

    Coleman - Mert - Kolorov

    Eriksen - Ozil - Silva - Hazzard

    Sturridge - Aguero - Suarez

    Bench: K.Davis / Chester/Ovideo/Faye

    -

Yes the bench is terrible and I could drop Mert for Kosc which would give me Ward instead of Faye and Noone instead of Ovideo, but chances are I will transfer Ozil out soon to give me some funds!

Or potentially Oxlade as a serious differential. Considering him as a punt until I WC.

You said it yourself, bench is awful. If you're planning a crap bench who will never be in your starting XI, the least you can do is make sure they will get you the 2pts if ever called upon.

A lot of teams will be missing gameweeks in the next few months

True, but I'd personally find it hard to put my faith in a guy who has played 45 mins of ball this season!

Wilshere as it stands is currently a differential due to his low ownership.

To-ing and fro-ing about whether to bring Aguero in this week or on Saturday. The .2 price rise (even a .3 [is that possible by then? I dunno the rules re: pricing]) makes no difference to me, realistically.

I think Chelsea may keep a cleansheet against Utd. Maybe ambitious there, but I want to hold onto Ashley Cole just incase. Have Negredo and I reckon he's good for a goal...but Aguero is looking sharp and will surely play sixty minutes?

    My choices:
Negredo and Cole to Aguero and Chester (I have Hull gk in goal too and don't really wanna double).

Someone choose for me? Ha. :D

Keep negredo and Cole. Negredo is the only cert to start for city and he's in incredible form. Doesn't make sense to take a hit to swap him for aguero when he is likely to out score him. If you're desperate to get aguero into your team you should make a change this week that frees up the funds to buy him next week

For some reason I think you may have convinced me, i'm to-ing and fro-ing all day about whether to do the change this week(has to be today) or not. I'm not convinced that it'll be worth it, as you say Negredo plays on Saturday and it's likely he'll get the 90 minutes, I think i'm leaving him in.

Just heard Ramsey's out for Fulham after getting him in on the wildcard, keep or go for one/two weeks? Can afford a 7.5m mid in meantime but need advice on if its worth the transfer back in?

I was set on bringing in aguero all week, now I'm leaning towards sturridge and negredo and then ditching negredo for aguero after the Chelsea game. If I had negredo already I wouldn't dream of ditching him this weekend

Do you normally play a safe game as regards taking hits? I know you are flying high in the leagues, if it was me I couldn't bear to bring in an injured player with my wildcard, there are quite a few similarly priced mids with good fixtures this week. Assuming you've picked your wildcard team carefully and not with this weeks fixtures in mind you may not need to make any other transfer for next week, if Ramsey will be back you could do it then.

Would tend to play it safe in terms of hits, though not afraid IF I feel will give me at least 4 + other players score.
Can play this team if needs be, Ward at home to Stoke/ Morrison back at home to Newcastle. Rambo on the bench.

Only worry is lack of Arsenal attack going into the game :/
    Szczesny

    Coleman Ward Koscielny Zabaleta

    Yaya Touré Eriksen Hazard

    Agüero Lukaku Suárez

Need to drop Ozil to accommodate Aguero, leaves me with 8.2mil for a repalcement.
Wilshire could be decent until Ramsey is fit possibly?

    Midfield currently consists of Silva/Hazard/Sterling/Janajuz.

Playing the WC this week. Going with the Mannone/Marshall combo in goals. After that I think Coleman, Yaya and Suarez are all must haves so will be keeping them. Mert, Hazard and Aguero are must haves too so think I'll get them 8 in and build my team around them. Looking at Eriksson too. Seems to flying under Sherwood. Any other players that are must haves?

Wasn't gonna do it, but caved and did Lukaku -> Aguero for a 4pt hit.

Was hoping to wait till the next gameweek and do it then, but Lukaku is dropping as well as Aguero rising, so would have been a .2 hit (at least)
