Why would you think Toure is likely to play? I have him and I hope he plays, but not sure I'd class it as likely. I'd be 50/50 atm.

I have Toure and would see him being rested whether he's fit or not, it seems he's had two different small injuries in the past fortnight, City will blow Cardiff away at home with or without him. Pelligrini clearly values him but unlike Mancini he's prepared to let him have a break now and again

    Ozil and Sissoko out
    Oscar and Wilshere in?

Any thoughts? Really want to get Ozil out but I have a feeling he could score big! Last time I got him out he went 11, 11, 10

EDIT: This will also allow me to upgrade Adebayor to Giroud

Did Negredo to Sturridge before his price rise and intend on keeping him until after City play Chelsea when I will probably get Aguero back in. Risky maybe but feel Sturridge is a better option with better fixtures over the next 3 GWS.

I just hope Pellegrini gives us an indication of what he is going to do before Friday.

Cortese is now officially gone from the Southampton. I don't really fancy any of the Saints options nearly as much if Pochettino follows him out the door.

Interested to see how this pans out.. Pochetino is quoted as saying he would quit if Cortese left the club.

Silva is on 75%..AGAIN! and Barkley is out...

This leaves me with only 2 fit midfielders (and Ward-Prowse:rolleyes:).

I'm swapping Lukaku for Aguero so would taking a 4 point hit for Ki-Sung be madness?

I wanna sell Barkley before the price fall and need cover in midfield!

Aguero comes on with 20 minutes to go, scores 30 seconds later!

Bad bad news for Aguero price rises before the weekend

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,600 ✭✭✭✭Dont be at yourself

Almost certain to go up now. But that does make Negredo (2 more goals tonight) something of a differential.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,495 ✭✭✭Shedite27

He'll hardly go up twice tho will he? He won't change tonight, so two nights in a row is unlikely?

Im extremely torn on what to do this week. My current strike force is suarez lukaku and adebayor and i have 3.5 in the bank. I was set on bringing in aguero for lukaku, but im now tempted to take a hit and bring in sturridge and negredo for lukaku and adebayor, and then bring aguero in for negredo in three weeks time after the chelsea game. Struggling to decide which option is better. I expect sturridge and negredo to outscore adebayor and aguero this weekend, but going a further two weeks without aguero could be costly, even though theyre two challenging fixtures (spurs, chelsea)

Aguero IN but who gets the boot between Lukaku and Adebayor??

Im leaning towards Adebayor as ive stood by Lukaku through all the 5pt weeks and jammy assists, so i just know he'll start performing if i get rid - any thoughts?

I have a theory that Adebayor only tries when he is looking for a new contract / playing Arsenal. His ppg look surprisingly good but I certainly won't have him on my team again.

Anybody know if the Arsenal press conference is tomorrow or Friday? I want more certainty on Ramsey and Barkley is dropping

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,462 ✭✭✭✭WoollyRedHat

Thinking Aguero will hit the target to go up by .1 by tomrrow. Could he go up another by Friday? Not beyond the realms of possibility. Question is, will he score against Cardiff? Should that even be a question.

Wish i had 2 fts as i'd love to double up on him and negredo for rhis weekend.

It was like the City strikers knew its wild card season tonight and want to wreck everyones head :)

Lukaku out for Auguero, stuck with Ade for the time being but more worried about the crisis at Southampton and how it will affect players.

Lukaku out seems to be a lot of people's decision alright, will make a nice differential.

    As would having Negredo.

I'm a bit weary of Aguero's playing time this week. They've got two big games coming up over the next three gameweeks (Spurs away, Chelsea home).

He's coming back from a long layoff and they can afford to go with Negredo and Dzeko and still win comfortably against Cardiff. I have a suspicion Pellegrini will keep him fresh for the two (far) tougher games, give him 20-25 minutes at the weekend and have him ready to start against Spurs.

I can afford to swallow a £0.1m rise this gameweek and would have to take a 4 point hit to get him back in so I'll wait until after this gameweek to get him in as I'm cautious over his playing time and don't want to take the hit.

Doubt Augerio will start this weekend. not match fit yet.

Hmmm, that spin on it nearly makes me want to keep him now - damn greedy millionaires and their motives...

Pellegrini needs to get him game time to get him match fit for the big games mentioned. I'd be amazed if he doesn't start....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,462 ✭✭✭✭WoollyRedHat

I can afford an Aguero price rise, just about, by .1

But I'm also keeping an eye on getting Ramsey back in, odds are, he'll be the next to rise after this GW, and I can't afford a rise on him.

Might do a FT on Aguero and then take a -4 hit for Ramsey in the next gameweek, before he rises. Either way, I'll have to take a -4 point hit.

What's the general consensus on Ramsey at the moment? Will he be available for the weekend? Who would he play for? Gnabry?

It looks like my option at the moment would be to get in Aguero for Adebayor, Ozil to Ramsey and then I'd need to demote one of my defenders (Sagna or Azpilicueta) by 1.2.

Maybe swap at Azpi as Sagna has very nice fixtures the next three while Azpi's aren't so easy. Then bring Azpi in for Sagna when Sagna faces Liverpool and United in consecutive weeks.

Would be an eight point hit. Would need to be done before Aguero rises too much.

Plan B would be Aguero for Adebayor and Sterling for Ozil. Rotating Sterling and Januzaj.

Plan C would be wait until after City have played Spurs and Chelsea. That could be suicide though waiting that long for Aguero..

I have Lukaku and Ade too, but will prob keep Lukaku simply for the slightly easier fixture.

Any strong opinions on doubling Aguero and Negredo for the forseeable future? Aguero is obviously undroppable, but Negredo looks unbelievably sharp of late. I know their fixtures aren't the best for the next couple of weeks though.

Was all set on Suarez, Ag, Giroud as my three strikers for the rest of the season but re-considering a bit now in light of Negredo's form. Dzeko obviously deserves gametime too though so might be wise to forget about it.

Also, will be interesting to see if Arsenal go ahead and sign Draxler. In the event that they do, and he ends up being listed as a midfielder, he could be a serious option!

Ramsey down as having a 25% chance of playing so that's fairly low.

Had exactly 0.1 left to do Ozil/Rodriguez to Ramsey/Aguero
Big gamble but had to do it before the money ran out

    !

Ye have Suarez, Aguero and Negredo in for this week.
Was planning on Suarez, Aguero and Rooney as my WC three now torn between Negredo/ Ade and whoever Arsenal sign as main striker! two more weeks till WC but happy with the form front 3 at minute

I agree i reckon it will be negredo and aguero up front. Dzeko has played a lot of 90 mins lately. It was telling that negredo was taken off early , I think negredo is most likely of the 3 to start and I expect aguero to be up front with him. The spurs game is in another 10 days he needs to get aguero sharp. I remember the first game of the season aguero had an injury pre season most of us thought he wouldnt play and he started that game.
I'll be doing lukaku to aguero. Like others have said the southampton issue is a problem, concerned about my boruc/davis combo now.

Aguero for ade. Could afford the price rise but i want him in early to save a few pound in the long run.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

was hoping aguero wouldn't score so it might at least slow down his transfers in and keep him to just the one rise before saturday. he will rise .1 tonight, no question about that. hopefully a lot of people who intend transferring him in will do it today before he rises .1 and then he won't get the full 100% tomorrow.
I'm going to wildcard on saturday as it gives me 10 days to use it and we'll be fairly close to the end of the transfer window so will know a bit more about teams.
It is tempting to wildcard now to get him in and if i was certain he'd start i might, but i don't want to use my wildcard over 2 and a half days to fit in a player who mightn't even start when there is still issues over players i want in my team like ramsey and rooney, hopefully all of them will be cleared up the following week and hopefully aguero won't cost me too much this week v cardiff

As someone said, Man City have a lot of games coming up, so it's not just a case of giving him 90mns V Cardiff to have him ready for the Spurs/Chelsea game.

    18th-> Cardiff
21st -> West Ham (League Cup)
    25th -> Watford (FA Cup)
    29th -> Spurs
    3rd -> Chelsea

My guess, he gets a 25 mintue cameo V Cardiff, starts V West Ham, 45 mns V Watford then ready to go for Spurs

    I wouldn't agree with that..

    He'll start v Cardiff.
He won't play at all v West Ham (since City are 6-0 up)
    20 mins v Watford (maybe)
    180 mins v Spurs & Chelsea.

    Yaya & Rodriguez out.

Augero & Ki from Sunderland in

    Front 7 I'd now
    Hazard, Lallana, Eriksen, Ki
    Suarez, Aguero, Adebayor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,600 ✭✭✭roryc

Praying Aguero doesn't start Saturday. I have exactly enough to do Yaya-> Silva and Adebayor->Aguero but would prefer to wait until next week. Firstly I picked Yaya in my WC and want to hold on to him over Silva, secondly I would be fuming if I took a hit and Aguero only came on for a cameo! Would prefer to hold off until next week and then use my 2 FT's to shift Adebayor/Lukaku to Aguero and Sagna/Mert to Debuchy.

Dammit why did you have to score last night you Kun(t)...

Yep, this is way more likely. Reserve team will play West Ham.

F**k. My main rival has brought in Aguero at a hit. Makes me doing it far more likely, just dont think I can risk not having him.

I'm really not liking looking at Aguero's stats for gametime. He's been scoring well but that's in spite of not getting much game time, not because of it. Only played 90 minutes 4 times this season.

Aguero's cameo last night has made a balls of my Gameweek! Have already done a -4 to get rid of Nasri & Rooney for Silva & Giroud.

Really want Aguero before his price rises but will have to wait til Saturday now. Might actually play WC now! If I activate now will I still lose the -4?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,606 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I'm just keeping Negredo this week.

the plsn at the moment is Ramsey/Aguero for Ozil/Negredo next week.

the beast is on a tear and I don't see him being dropped for a league game while it's so tight.

No, wc will cancel the -4, was hoping agueros price would hold til the weekend but that isn't going to happen, he could rise by .2 but i doubt that'll actually transpire.

Wise move. Negredo should get 90 id expect aguero to be taken off for dzeko on the 60/70 mark. If I had negredo I wouldn't swap him to aguero this week
