That yoke was built for drag racing - you wouldn't get 100 yards down most roads without ditching it. What's the point of bringing that in to a country with no drag strips?

Bishopscourt is only up the road and they run drag leagues and one day events too :)..great fun with a pack of mates even though its just driving in a straight line..;)

I'm in two minds about them. On some cars I think they look fantastic and cool and on other cars they make them look overly modified… I think it depends on what other mods the car has. You'd have to do it and see I think!

It's more that I've been thinking of what to do to the motor for the last while now. And I've always been torn on the angel eye thing, part of me thinks it will freshen it up a bit, but then again, it can look tacky as hell.

Here's a pic I've had up here before...

The roads are very slippy today. Quite bad this morning but even worse when I was coming home from town an hour ago. Probably doesn't help the fact they don't grit my local roads and the fact the focus doesn't have stability control or traction control although I'm not sure how much of an effect these safety features have in icy conditions it's easy to spin the wheels in icy conditions with or without traction control I suppose . Anyway safe driving all :)

I'd say it'll freeze hard tonight too.

I looked before in the manual for the Octavia to see what it says that the traction control actually does for it. The answer was to prevent wheel spin on a slippery slope when setting off. That's all..

It's to do with limiting the power going to the wheels if there spinning/stop them spinning and also I think it sends more power to the wheel with the most traction. You will notice the difference between the car with traction control and without I'm not saying it useless either far from it. But at the end of the day if the road is pure ice and you accelerate hard in the likes of an octavia the wheels will still spin. It just won't be as dramatic as the likes of my focus :D
