How to get Channel 5 and BBC One HD on your Irish EPG and Recordable!!

Had it working on the blue button but it only seems to last about a day before all the channels disappear.

When you press the blue button then there are none of the English channels there and I have to do it all over again.

This happen to anyone else?

Check your box isn't going into eco mode at night.

My channels on blue button are missing every night When i turn of next day . have to reboot all over again is there anyway of stopping this???

Go to services, options, , sky+ setup set standby mode to off.

What happenss to RTE 1 when you do the card trick? do you have 2 "Channel 101's" or does it go to a different No.?

The RTE's remain the same with BBC 1 & 2 on 141 an 142.

TV3 however is different. With the card trick you will have 2 x 103 channels (UTV & TV3) and the same with channel no. 105 - Sky 1 and Channel 5

Apologies, maybe its 3e and Channel 5 that are on 105. Its been a while since I done the card trick myself.

Yes I have 2 101's, 102's, 103's & 105's. Using an old blue sky card

It's possible to order a "Freesat from Sky" card by calling them up and giving a UK address. The cost is £25.

Would this work for the full card trick if you were able to get an NI version sent to Parcel Motel?

You would have to give them a NI address and phone number, write them down somewhere because you'll need them when the card arrives. When you get the card, ring sky to get it activated and the agent will ask you for either the post code or the phone number used when ordering the card. A few seconds later and Voila you have a UTV card. Are Freesat from sky cards still available?

I'm gonna use my Parcel Motel address.

I'll just tell them it's an appartment block and PMXX123 is my post box number haha.

I activated mine using an old Sky box I connected to the dish.

I have a white UK card -I havnt done the trick yet though.-

It would cost about €25 to get an NI card . Is it worth it?

Is the only difference that you get the full EPG with the NI card? or are there less crashes /bugs ; anything else to consider.

I'm sure this has all been anwered before but I've read about 40 pages and while a lot of it is incredibly entertaining I can not take anymore!

OK guys I need help!! I have a blue freesat from sky card. I am able to do the card trick to get the blue button record trick.... But then it goes back to 998.
I've updated the software and same problem.
Am I missing something or have sky copped on and blocked it?
Any help would be appreciated!

The problem is you're recording two of the card trick channels at the same time. Afaik it cannot be done. Only one plus a 'normal' channel can be recorded together.

I'm recording CH5 and C4 at the same time while watching C4, all is working perfectly. I have a UTV card(lucky bugger me!).

Thought channel 4 HD was only available through the card trick. I know channel 5 is.

Thanks for the reply yes i just realise that now So you cant record 2 programmes at the same time on the card trick on other channels All do the recordings ok though. But box Just crashed but i just rebooted I now now thanks again

Making a statement.
The question posed was why the box was freezing while recording c4 HD & channel 5.
They're both channels added using the card trick & I was just pointing out that I thought you can only record one of these & not two together.
