    i'm considering a front 3 of Soldado - Suarez - Adebayor.

    midfield 5 of Mutch - Walcott - Toure - Silva - Eriksen

    spurs overload
Those 3 are more than likely going to play week in week out for spurs, who are playing very attacking football. Soldado takes pennos and yes i'm hoping his goal scoring clicks, Adebayor scores goals and gets assists, Eriksen should get a run in the team now as Sherwood put him straight in when he took over.

that front 3 can stay in place until Aguero returns when i can downgrade one of the midfielders for him if that's what i want to do.

If spurs fail to score, straight away 3 of your 7 attackers are on for 2 pointers (3 for Erisksen if CS). Way, way too risky a strategy. Spurs have done well under Sherwood but I wouldn't be over-investing in them too early. One of the above 3 is enough imo. Maybe 2 but that is stretching it.

eriksen and adebayor worked well for me against utd - but i take your point. still they have some nice fixtures coming up.

An awful lot of faith in a 3 players from a team that has only scored 4 more goals than Suarez (including his ban)...
They have averaged just over 1 goal per game, that one goal between 3 players doesn't equal a lot of points.
You would need them to double that average and hope that all 3 play a part in the goals for a decent return.

They may be worth a punt for the short term but I wouldn't be getting carried away over a couple of games and Sherwoods talk of attacking football

a lot of what you say, almost all in fact, applies to the AVB era of just 1 striker, no eriksen in the team and no adebayor, playing 4-5-1 or any other formation except 442. Lennon was also out for a while but is back now.

True, but you're using your wildcard based on a couple of games under Sherwood. They will improve attacking returns (it couldn't get much worse), but I just don't think they'll improve it enough to sustain 3 players and even 2 would be a gamble at this stage.

Anyone know a midfield 4.0 or less that plays most weeks? I'm looking for a bench filler

There is none. There are a few non playing mids at 4.1

The cheapest mid that gets some sort of gametime at the moment is Collback at 4.2

Is Canas not 4.2 and a regular starter too? He will only ever deliver 2 points though.

Sh1te......didn't think Kos was gonna go up last night when I checked in at 1am. On the bright side I'm likely to hold off for a few extra days to making either of my 2 FTs.

Moyes gas said Rooney will miss the Cup game tomorrow. It could in fact be time to dump him. I could swap him out for Ade and have Lukaku, Suarez and Ade up front.

I'm not considering Negredo. City have too many players and too many games.

I think it is best sticking worth Rooney till after the Swansea league game. At that point RVP should be back and Rooney will get some rest time i reckon.

Wasnt he always expected to miss the Cup game with that groin injury? Has he really aggravated it or maybe Moyes is saying that to justify his exclusion?

Tempting to get in Ade for Palace though. But dont think I'll take a hit for it. Plus when you bank on Palace to get hammered the inevitably dig deep.

Theo just being stretchered off for Arsenal

Id say it will be a few days before the extent of his injury is known.

At present, looking like it will either be Cabaye or Negredo getting the chop. Out of the 5 of my players facing a fall, they are the two who have fallen the highest today, 4 and 9%, although still both a good bit away from the drop.

Think wild card will be activated though next Saturday at 11.31, or as soon as game updates after the 11.30 dead line.

I dunno about Walcott.. I don't want to lose the .3 on him, but I guess two weeks is a lot to be sitting on him and he will probably drop about .1/2 in that time if this is the situation.

I want to get rid of Rooney, but think I'll wait till the Swansea game.. might get in Eriksen for Walcott if it's two weeks, am reluctant to get rid of Cabaye, in any case in terms of value he's been producing pretty good returns... I think him and Eriksen will be some good medium term investments in the coming weeks. I want to get rid of Krul, might go for Mannone then. Think there is value for money in the Sunderland defence in the next few weeks, although I got rid of O'Shea because of injuries and opted for Celutska, hope he continues to hold his place. Will most likely play wild card this Sat.

No good news on theo! Only speculation but could be 4 weeks according to papers http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jan/05/arsenal-theo-walcott-miss-month-knee-injury

Seriously regretting the early transfer to get rid of Ravel, knew it was silly in a cup week but feared a 0.3m hole in my wild card budget. Sworn off hits for a while but may have backed myself into one as my other options not great.

That would be a killer blow with Walcott. I currently have Walcott, Mutch, Cabaye and Rooney all yellow flagged.

I'm still holding onto my wildcard though. I refuse to play it until as late as possible.

Anyone considering Bony after this gameweek?

On form and nice fixtures coming up.

No quote from Arsenal in that article. It even says he still has to undergo a scan. I wouldn't be doing any transfer based that piece.
