If I were to WC this week I was even thinking of going with both Baines and Coleman for a while. I see Baines as a potential store for Aguero/Falcao/big forward option cash to unleash at the right time.

It's a no brainer for those who don't have Coleman yet, seeing how damn expensive he is now.

Right folks, my front seven is:

    Cabaye Silva Hazard Walcott
Lukaku Suarez Rooney (now edited lads)

I have a transfer burning a hole in my pocket but I'm unsure if I should ship Lukaku or Cabaye.

Cabaye could be shipped for Eriksen or Lallana.
Lukaku could be shipped for Ade or Rodriguez

My own gut instinct is to go Lukaku to Ade. Ade was immense for me a couple of years back when he first arrived at Spurs. I think I had him almost the entire season.

What's holding me back though is the good fixtures Southampton have. Plus I have 1.5 million in the bank so I could go Lukaku to Rodriguez and I'd then have the cash to bring in Yaya leaving me with a midfield of:

    Silva Yaya Hazard Walcott.

Anyone with any opinions? I still haven't watched the full MoTD from Wednesday so that might help my decision. Will watch it over the weekend.

I went Sterling to Lallana this week.
My gamble on Pod didn't work last week but he's getting Villa away and then it's over to J Rod.

Really like Sou fixtures and think they'll bounce back with a bang.

That'll bring me to my WC.

Anyone have any idea when Boruc can be expected back? Searched around and found nothing...

I presume he means Suarez rather than Aguero

Pretty sure he spelled Suarez with an A,G,U,E,R & O by mistake :D

Att Lemlin, it seems you have turned full circle on Rooney while I have gone the other way, who would have thought it. What is it you've seen lately from him that merits the cost to the rest of your team? He doesn't seem to have been 100% fit for a while now and seems to enjoy dropping deep much more now than he ever did under Fergie, I was a big supporter of his FPL attributes early on and I had him right through his best patch, can't justify the outlay at the moment though despite my massive admiration for him.

I had ade over rooney that season you mentioned worked a treat for me. I didnt post on here at the time, used to just read the odd time but ade wasnt flavour of the month something I could never understand.

was just thinking the same myself. I dont think rooney is worth the price he is at now as Id never captain him.

I always sung about him from the rooftops if you check my posts back then. People didn't like him because he didn't play well. I don't care how players play though. I care how they score.

He's a form player. When he's playing and on-form, he does very well. At the moment i'd say he's worth having, but as for how long that will last... me personally Rooney Suarez Kun I just cant look past that as the ideal tri-force... leaves me with no Spurs coverage at all though!

I brought him in when Aguero got injured and I reckon I'll leave him there until Aguero returns. If nothing else, he's near enough Aguero's value so there's no temptation to utilise the cash elsewhere.

He's not a pressing concern to ship out either as United are home to Swansea next. He got me decent returns against West Ham and Hull too.

Now, rather than posting on Rooney and my misspelling of Suarez, has anyone an actual opinion on my bloody question!?

he got 4 assists in a game that year when I had him captain. Great value him and VDV. I would have been backing you up re Ade, I think FF was part of the soccer forum then. Ade's a FF favourite of mine when he is focused. Shame soldado is on pens though.

I think Southampton duo of Lallana and Rod are the way to go for someone in your position. I'd consider them the safer bet.

I'm always slightly dubious of reading too much into a teams form right after they get a new manager. Spurs were fairly muck all season, Sherwood doesn't strike me as a fantastic manager. Players up there game under a new boss but it is often short lived.

Ade has the potential to be great but Spurs lacked creativity until Dec. Paulinho is to come back into the team, does that affect Eriksens minutes or return.
At least you know what you're getting with SOU.

He was even better value at Arsenal. I remember this game http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7356031.stm where he scored a second half hat trick. It was the third last game or so of the season and I had him captain.

I remember a few lads had overtaken me in leagues but didn't realise I had him captain in the Monday night game. I didn't fall off top spots for long.

Would you advise going with him then? My gut is saying to go with him alright. He's only 0.2% to a rise so I can see how he plays on Saturday too hopefully.

I mentioned it before the last gameweek, I would prefer ade and ozil over rooney and cabaye. You could make no transfers this week and weigh up your options with 2 the following week. It makes sense to me as Im wildcarding and in need of differentials due to my ranking 160k
Arsenal have villa fulham southampton and palace
Spurs have palace swansea city Hull
That will bring me to gw 25 when citys fixtures get better and arsenasl get worse. Aguero should be back fit so I'll get him in then by downgrading ozil and upgrading a striker.

I don't think I'd go with two from Southampton. The way I see it is I go with one mid from Lallana, Cabaye and Eriksen and one striker from Ade, Lukaku and Rodriguez.

At the minute, my thinking is Lallana for the midfielder perhaps and Ade for the striker.

It's a short 3 GW punt I'll be going for anyway because I have my wildcard then.

Spurs play Palace (home), Swansea (away) and Man City (home).
Saints play West Brom (home), Sunderland (away) and Arsenal (home).

No real point now in sitting back and saving transfers when I'll be wildcarding the GW after next anyway.

Spurs still have too many options in midfield for anyone to be safe, Paulinho will certainly play, Dembele is in great form, same with Lennon. Townsend is back in training now also, who knows how highly Sherwood rates him. Eriksens form is really only from the Utd game, he had a couple of very good games early in the season also before his form went into the toilet.

What's your opinion as a Spurs fan on Ade Swiper?

Ashley Young facing a spell on the sidelines for anyone who may have gambled on him due to actual decent form for a few games.

On the positive side, at least Januzaj wont' be getting tips off him in training on how to dive :)

Delighted with his current form but I'm not sure I'd want him in my team for FPL, always been a hot and cold player, he will be good for Soldado though, once he starts scoring he could go on a hot streak the likes of which I don't think Adebayor can(if that makes sense). I'll hold off on Ade myself for another couple of gameweeks anyway. You've mentioned how Ade had been a success for you in the past, his price is good anyway.

When was Cabaye yellow flagged? Just noticed it now. Achilles injury and 75% of playing.

    Very recently, he wasn't earlier.
Ade seems to be unflagged now too, don't know if that's very recent or not.

    Edit:
Just before 4pm from the updates section

Reported on Twitter he's out injured for the FA Cup game.
