W00t!!! i've just gotten two tickets! Standing of course! :D

Now .. I sincerely hope that AC/DC are supporting the Stones cause that'd just be the icing on the proverbial cake!

hussey- how did you find this out in the first place? they arent listed at all on ticketmaster. a search for rolling stones brings up nothing.

i got mine anyway thanks a lot

Yeah THANKS SO MUCH...saved a lot of hassel come Friday morn.

Guessing that they're presale tickets for official fan club members (that you pay $90 to join!).

Also heard from the Point that they're defo playing a second night (if the first one sells out) - either a day or 2 before or after.

I saw them on the Bridges to Babylon tour - went as a nuetral for a nice day out - and they absolutely rocked the place

Bloody hell, whats the difference between the €55 tickets and the €130 (!) tickets. Do you get to sit in Mick Jaggers rectal area for the €130?

From what I can make out..
the E 130 tickets are the balcony seats upstairs
the E100 are the tiered seating at the back of the ground floor
    the E 80 are standing
and finally E55 are the seats on the ground floor at the sides...

Its kinda weird that some of the seats are actually cheaper than standing. But then again I reckon standing is the only way to go.

I take it these appeared along the same route as the Slane ones?I actually went about doin bit of a "test" today at the ticketmaster website but could only get so far along the same way as the Slane tickets :( then it just started givin me blank pages after I clicked the "go" button...

    Dregin

P.S. I think these pages appear so that Ticketmaster can check that their systems are working instead of leaving it until the day they go onsale and watching their servers dig themselves a hole and jumping into it :)

    many thanks in advance

    Nice one hussey!

Buy you a beer if I ever meet you:D

    tickets no longer available!

they had it reduce to a max of 4 too.

Tip-offs like this are great. I don't think they'll be a massive demand for tickets though will there as i'm sure they'll play a few nights if they want.

Wow, The Rolling Stones are old! But I think they're still worth seeing. 'Exile on Main St' is one of my favourite albums ever. Great songs.

    Lemming

akaif, AC/DC are only supporting them for 3 gigs in Germany. They have their next album to get rolling.

Interstingly, Rolling Stones and AC/Dc use the same roadcrew, so one cannot start before the other finishes :D

    /edit

    13.6. Oberhausen
    20.6. Leipzig
    22.6. Hockenheim

    //edit

the closest Ireland is going to get to AC/DC is the AC/DC Tribute Show at the Olympia : 31-May-03

cant see them doing more than 2 nights. thats only 14000. u2 sold out slane twice in hours. and with the 40 licks album out too. but the tickets are expensive, but still its almost a certain 2 1/2hrs of classics unlike some old musicians who do 60 mins of new stuff

I got this from ticketmaster this morning:

Ticketmaster would like to inform you that all tickets ordered for the Rolling Stones at The
Point, September 9th 2003, prior to the general onsale
date (May 2nd 2003 at 9.00am) will only be valid if the relevant Rolling Stones Fan Club
Passcode is supplied at the time of booking.
All tickets without the relevant passcode will be cancelled immediately. Any duplicate
bookings made with the Rolling Stones Fan Club
Passcode will also be cancelled, (The first booking made with that Unique Rolling Stones Fan
    Club Passcode will be Valid).
    Regards
    Ticketmaster Customer Service.

looks like the link was for fan club ppl only

I don't remember seeing an option to enter a passcode.

Plus Ticketmaster had no problem in Charging me for the bloody tickets.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 327 ✭✭Cozpyro

    Phew!!

Managed to get onto Ticketmaster again. Booked another two.

Still not sure about the other pre sale tickets. I have checked my Visa card again and I have definitely been charged for those tickets.

I have racked by brains and I cannot remember being prompted to enter a Fan Club Membership number.

If the nice people at Visa let this transaction go through and Ticketmaster send out the first batch I'll be going on a nice holiday with the spoils!!!!

    We shall wait and see.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,387 ✭✭✭✭rubadub

    bastards charged me too.

anybody have any mates in ticketmaster that will know the story?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 14,178 ✭✭✭✭Lemming

I got billed too. If they try this on me (without a refund) I'm gonna raise a serious amount of sh*t with them

OK Director of consumer affairs considers this to be a breach of cival liberties & consumer rights (they issued a booking reference/debited my card).

If you've been shafted by TicketBastard, call the consumer affairs people

Office manager of Ticket Bastard is Helen Weir... "she doesn't take calls from the public"

Just been on the phone to both Consumer Affairs & ticketmaster.

TicketMaster are refunding any "unauthorised" bookings (ie. those that followed a link - don't ask me how they're determining that one ). All service charges will also be refunded.

The consumer affairs people pointed out that you have the option to take them to the small claims court if you were billed, since they have entered into a contract with you.

    Ticket-Bast*rds :(
