Either the missus cut his internet cable or he's being reincarnated.

Probably both. He must have lived on the god phone. He will be back though. Will find it hard not to be involved.

He was a mole, and when I joined all the dots I confronted him about it. Once his cover was blown he had no better to do.

Tinker tailor/soldier spy is it. I know sharpshooter was the soldier. Bob, are you the tinker or the spy. (Don't take you for a tailor)

That's it for the year, we all have a few starting off. Onward and upward

If the cow is ok that calf will probably be the most profitable of the year!!

I just spent an hour sledging out a pin out of a loader . Does anyone know if the matbro 3 ( I think ) have a bearing or bushin on the top pin for rolling out the bucket ? There was alot of play in it but the pin is not worn much at all and the ould lad reckons it might be a bearing that was in it originally

Is there much of a difference between the bore of pin and the mounting. A bearing would be unlikely but a bushing would be quite possible. Try this crowd if you need a bushin made off size. They import and refurb track machines and teleporters all the time and are well used to "making up ground" IYKWIM.

Thanks freedom , I'd say there could be 30mm difference . I dont know why he thinks there was a bearing in it but either way its more than likely going to get a bushing now any how .
Ill probably get a local lad to make it up

You might be as well to let him install it too for the extra few quid.

A long ball bearing could fit in there just measure the shaft and bore then check against book for size.

bushing might be a better job as it surly would last longer than a bearing

Will you stop ! The old lad will go to get it made and stand over the poor bastard making it , then let the fun begin at home fitting it . He bought it before christmas without a bucket or forks , then he bought a bucket from a loading shovel with teeth and has spent the christmas making brackets for the pin and cone head and cutting off the teeth and putting a clean edge on it .
I told him the tilt is too slow for buckraking so thats why he is tightening up the brackets . Its still not going to be used !
Any wonder I dont like machinery much

IT IS A "FARMING CHIT CHAT " THREAD, there are no rules on what is posted in it, It saves alot of people starting up threads asking questions, what do you think is the problem with it?
