    lashing rain in East Wicklow since about 6am.

    Down for the day by the looks of the radar and the Atlantic is cooking up more and more systems as very cold air continues to pour out of north America mixing with the warm air over the Atlantic-a perfect recipe for all the storms we have been having.
    This pattern looks like continuing for weeks more.

    No rain overnight, was lovely but the last hour is really lashing, jobs almost done then home till afternoon milking

    Was very heavy this morning. Nice to be able to stay in the bed and listen to it for a change instead of having to go out in it.

    Suffering from cabin fever after being locked up sick the last few days was looking forward to going out for a walk. Just started to rain now .

    Local river has burst it banks here couple of 100 acreas has being turned into a lake.

    Just awful here since early this morning. I'd say we've had heavy blowing rain since maybe five I clock.

    Serious ammount of rain in last 48 hours. Lakes of water in plenty of fields.

    Up in Laois, a nice bit of it is the grazing block of a lad with 400 plus cows, not a nice problem to be facing coming into the spring.

    The Boyne is out in the fields in places. Looking at the forecast it could get worse before it gets better.

    100mm of rain so far here today. Electricity off. Got to get generator going to milk cows and keep chick houses operational.

    I don't want to pi$$ on anyones parade but the sea just started roaring again in the past hour or so. You couldn't hear it over the breeze until then. It's gonna get rough around here soon, dark clouds starting to gather off to the south/southwest, wind getting up a bit ye've been warned. I'm just glad to have the jobs wiped out for the day.

    yea bad forecast for weekend and its winds from the south too,

    was up on dairy roof there putting a new sheet on it, was bitter up there, i was amazed the amount of moss on the roof- i took it off while up there-, also cleaned out gutters while i was there, water was freezing
