A fairly bizzare story to say the least!

Interested in the AH consensus here - on the one hand, a 16 year old lies dead. Mugger or not, I don't think anyone wants that. On the other hand, karma?

I'm split on this one myself - if the mugger was a bit older I'd be saying "good enough for him", but 16 is very young and is the death a cause to celebrate? Totally self-inflicted all the same, full sympathies to the victim and here's to a speedy and full recovery!

That's what you get when you try to mug Chuck Norris.

Couldn't care less that he was 16 tbh. Deserved it.

He had a bright future mugging and shooting other innocent people. His accomplish tried to kill a person. No loss.

Muggers had a hard neck trying to rob someone, pity he didn't have a hard face however.

Doubt he would have cared if the victim died or not

That's a strange thing to say. Age doesn't matter with scumbags. Whether they're 16 or 30 it doesn't matter. I don't see why you would feel sorry because he's 16. They were shooting the victim in the FACE like.

Saying I'm glad he died isn't right, but if one of the two was going to die, I'm glad it wasn't the original victim.

He was going to murder someone in cold blood and instead killed himself, it was the better outcome for sure.

Live by the sword, or in this case the 9mm handgun...

No sympathy here...he was complying and they shot anyway...

That's mad. Did the mugging victim have an ivory tusk on his face or something?

A scumbag is a scumbag regardless of what age they are. Delighted he won't get a chance to mug someone ever again

That's pretty much where I stand. It's not a question of "deserving it" (because there is no question on who is to blame for what happened), it's a question as to whether it's anything to feel particularly good about.

The reason I bring the 16 thing into it is because 16 isn't (in my view) too old to be rehabilitated into something approaching a decent human being.

    He wont do it again.

    16? Way too young.
No he didnt deserve to die because he fell in with some trigger happy lunatic. God, when i think what kind of idiot I was at 16...

Maybe if they're smashing windows or burning wheelie bins but when they're shooting people in the face they're too far gone.

It was a third party who fired the shot. I don't think this kid deserved to die, he was mugging someone, he deserves to be in a serious amount of trouble, but not dead.

that is equal parts hilarious and wonderful, although hopefully the victim makes a full and easy recovery

    It's probably better this way.

He was clearly headed for a lifetime of shankings by a string of 40 stone prison daddies.

Seems most people didnt read the story, the bullet wasnt fired by the lad who died. His partner in crime fired it, it bounced off the victim's face (man in the iron mask? jason voorhees?) and then killed yerman.

So these statements of 'he fired a bullet at a mans face, he deserved to die', arent really true....well, the bullet firing anyway.

It's also pretty sad to think that's someone can be so ****ed up by the age of 16 that they'd blow some innocent stranger's brains out for a wallet or a phone. Must have been a pretty ****e life (with an admittedly rather exotic ending).

Nothing to be happy about here.

We can't be allowing the facts of the case get in the way of AH bloodlust.

I read it before posting. Stand by it too. He was in an armed group terrorising and robbing an innocent man.

why? You have no idea what his back story is, what pushed him to mug someone, what crappy life he may have had. Even if he had everything great and mugged the guy just because he's a d*ck he still doesn't deserve to die. Would you advocate the reintroduction of the death penalty for crimes such as mugging?
