Love to see O'Leary give Russell the high road and take in Townsend

I would keep Russell instead of Townend, anyway Cooper is far better than Townend and is next in line.

Being second jockey to Willie Mullins is probably better than being first jockey to most trainers and owners.

Watched replay of the Ryanair. Anyone that doesn't see The Fly destroying the opposition needs their head examined. He travelled so easy and was way better than Jezki and Our Conor. Our Conor may improve but Jezki has no hope against him come March. Simply an incredible performance

I said here more than most that HF was finished. His performance today was his most impressive yet. He cantored over them, wasn't even hard ridden.

Just watched the race again myself.

Jekzi would have been 1-2L close if he didnt get closed in by Our Conor, however he's jumping is too ropey to be anywhere near in contention for the CH in March. I think that's the closest we'll we Jekzi come to The Fly. So out of the 'Five', he's out.

That was Our Conor's first trip over hurdles for some time, so I'd expect some improvement between now and March but I still can't see him beating off the remaining 3 (MOTY, The Fly, TNO)

I really like TNO, and feel that the key to victory will be the jockey. You know that both Ruby and AP will give good rides on The Fly and MTOY in March... TNO has the potential to win, but I'm hearing way too many excuses from the Jockey atm, I hope Sam will have sorted out his tactics and give TNO a good ride in March

I've already gone in with TNO and The Fly ante-post. If it comes up soft in March, then The Fly will be difficult to beat.

Why do people make such over the top statements.

With danny Mullins riding our conor round chelt, our conor is going to need to be 5-7lb better than hurricane fly on the day.

I wouldnt rule any of them out at the moment, I would wait until the Irish Champion hurdle to pass judgement on the Irish raiders. I dont like comparing eras but this lot remind of a few yrs ago and at the moment Jezki looks like he could be similiar to macs joy as just below the best but will mop up other grade 1's around. In HF you have battle hardened champion a la Hardy Eustace, OC as Brave Inca not ready yet but potentially a future champion. MTOY has the potential to be a new Harchibald and come there swinging at the last but whether he goes through with his effort remains to be seen. The New One is an added bonus and potential fly in the ointment, will relish the test of the hill again. The picture will become a bit clearer over the next month and a half but ruling horses out at the moment is madness. Jezki is the least likely to me but if he got that close again in the Irish Champion he couldnt be ruled out

In fairness to Jezki, he's definitely more genuine than the bould Harchibald.

I compared MTOY to Harchibald, comes there swinging but doesnt look like he'll put it all in. Done well last wk but sure so did Harchibald the yr he won it.

Sorry, read that totally wrong. I do think that even MTOY is a lot stronger in a battle than Harchibald though.

Surprised to see Captain Cee Bee only beaten 10 lengths  Really was a messy messy run race.

I don't know. To get your head examined might be a bit much. Incredible price last Sunday with 11/8 available in the ring but I'd still have my reservations about Cheltenham. He is the champ and the one they all have to beat but he's no certainty for me.

Can't believe Katie Walsh wasn't even called in to explain on Yes Sir Brian in the bumper though!

From my memory of the race, I haven't seen a replay, I thought Katie was struggling to get the horse around the bend, he looked like he was going to run off.

Just had a look at replay on atr website out of interest.

You're spot on I think. Horse didn't handle the bend all that well and Katie was struggling to steer him around properly. Nothing to see here.

Nice winner also that Value At Risk.

There was a horse outside YSB and YSB did not seem to interfere with it, the horse nearly did a wheelie she had such a massive pull of the reigns until he had gone from the front to behind the others, he had to be checked when running up the arse of Fort Smith, very odd ride in my book.

The jockey on fortsmith is to be avoided at all costs anyways, will back it with a jockey next time.

Why would they back the life out of the horse and stop it

Wouldnt have thought anyone did back the life out of it? 9/2 - 5/1 were commonly available which was a very fair price.
