ya maybe...... He's not at the level of the remaining players tho.

White is top class which he will prove over the next two years or so.

He's a top 8 player in waiting who always averages high 90s.
Just because you don't know him doesn't mean he isn't good.

2 cracking games tonight and I obviously take back what I said earlier about White. Really dug in and gave it a good bash.

Having a good throwing action is all well and good , but its not a whole pile of use if he has no bottle!!!!!

As you said Whitlock should just hurry on and get rid of a "chump" you must be kinda relieved.

He may have saved you from the worst darts analysis ever!

had Wright and Whitlock in a double. Two seriously tense games to have money on.

Two fantastic matches tonight, great entertainment.

I'm heading over to London in the morning, enjoy the rest of the tournament and behave yourselves!.

Look out for me, I'll be the one watching the darts....

Webster has battled hard and great to see him in the QF but he might be at the end of the road with MvG.
Wade and Lewis should be a cracker and I'm expecting great darts in that one.

I think MVG + Lewis will both win by at least 5-2,hope i am wrong and the matches are closer though.

Fingers crossed for Webster, but he has fallen a long way off the mark. 2 or 3 years ago, think anything but a Webster win would have been a slight surprise but their form has gone in differing directions, and in fairness to Van Gerwen it's form allied to amazing talent too.

As for Lewis Wade, usually would root for the underdog but for Wade I'll make an exception.

3 ton plus finishes. Looking bad for poor Webster.

What a set from MVG, unstoppable

First set done and dusted in double quick time. Great performance from MvG but what of us who've settled in for a good night of darts? At this rate the whole show could be over by 9:30!

    MVG is feckin awesome.

I'd say Webster is cursing Gary Anderson after them comments yesterday. MvG out to prove a point here.

Good stuff from Webster there. Not playing too badly at all, just unfortunate who he's run into.

I don't like the way MvG is making those disgusted 'that was rubbish' faces every time he throws one bad dart. I think one of the commentators mentioned it before the match that he's got a lot more cocky this year, hope it doesn't come back to bite him in the ass.

I don't like any of his mannerisms, the double fist pump thing, the facial expressions.

On the other hand, he interviews well, he can throw sensational darts, other players I like, like Hankey and Burnett can pull worse faces...so I know I am being terribly picky. I'm happy to put up with it to watch a player of his ability.

Edit - I liked his reaction to McDine too. Okay, he didn't like it, he got a bit narky...but he let it go immediately after, shook hands and smiled and didn't complain in the interview.

Poor Webster.. he's actually having a good game, but MvG seems unstoppable at the minute.

EDIT: He's not just rolling over though which is a great credit to him

EDIT 2: Great to see the crowd getting behind him too

It can't happen...could it? Would be outstanding.

Still fancy mvg to win this, but those slack darts in the last few legs make me think that lewis will beat him in the next round

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

This is why I fancy Lewis for the tournament. He can live with MvG's purple patches and can punish him when he dips. I wouldn't take any notice of Lewis' last game, he'll bring out the best when he needs it.

That's if either get through :pac:
