Seems the sweeps they make arent accurate. I would bet they are banning these guys by accident but that it is happening.

Game is ruined by glitches and hackers. Went after 3 bounties earlier, all of them invincible. The money stuff I can live with but that's just bollox. What do people get out of playing a game where they won't ever die?

Yeah I came up against a guy couple of days ago who I reckon had some invincibility glitch/cheat. He shot me so I went after him for some revenge. Put nearly 2 clips of an AK into him yet he still stands and blows me away. Thought he had some armor until I copped something was up.

It's every game now for me. Just press down on the dpad and you'll see someone on level 500+

Got this for Xmas ... first disc wont load/xbox saying disc error b/s. Other games load fine. When I put in the 2nd disc it says insert disc 1!
After reading some of the comments about how bad online - when I return it - I may not get this again

Can't believe they only had the snow thing there for 1 day. I was pissed on Christmas night and ended up in a barracks half-full of Santas and Elves delivering weapons and cash to random players.

Rockstar have commented on the glitching. They will be issuing a fix that will remove all money added to players as a result of it, so probably best to buy everything now as I assume they can't remove stuff you have brought.

They are also only banning people doing the hack, not people who have received money as a result of it.

In regards to reports of hacking and cheating in Grand Theft Auto Online, we are working on a fix that will remove any GTA$ gained through these blatant exploits, as well as prevent this from happening in the future. We'll also be taking appropriate measures very soon to punish anyone that we've discovered manipulating GTA Online in this manner (as we've stated previously, players who have received large sums of GTA$ but not engaged in any game manipulating through exploits can rest assured knowing they have nothing to fear).

If you have been gifted a large sum of money or collected a large bounty and would like to have the money removed from your account immediately, you can submit a request to Rockstar Support to have your balance properly adjusted. Otherwise, the money you've been gifted will be removed once our upcoming fix is in place.

Furthermore, if you encounter someone that is taking advantage of exploits in your GTA Online session, you can alert us directly by using the in-game reporting functionality. In the Pause menu, under the Online tab, select Players and scroll to the offending player. From there, select Report and choose Exploits from the violation options. We appreciate the community's support and understanding as we work to address these issues and apologize for all inconvenience caused.

Think they need to improve the integration of user created races and deathmatches, kinda annoying you have to add them via the Social Club and then drive to the location on the map only for nobody else to join ya.

Online now throwing around cash

Got a two day free trial with an Xbox One controller so I set up a new profile and threw in some DNS to test. People go insane begging for money when they see whats going on.

Careful, they might just do a hardware ban! I'm not sure if can or will, but worth having it in mind.

Also, I don't understand how changing the DNS allows cheating? Anybody understand this

Ah I'm not too worried. Using the Xbox One at the minute. Only came back to GTA to try out the snow and I was intrigued by the glitching.

The hack itself is crazy. No idea how they even came up with it :pac:

When you point a device to a DNS server you're basically asking them to turn a name ( www.boards.ie ) into an IP address. If you point your device to the DNS server in question then your name resolution service will point you to different servers that provide your service. Or something like that.

After a bit of research it seems this file is hosted by Rockstar. The game gets its info from here:

http://prod.cloud.rockstargames.com/titles/gta5/ps3/tunables.json

They can change thing on the fly without needing to update the game. The DNS mod tricks it to using a custom hosted one.

Editing the .json file (JavaScript) and routing through modded DNS addresses.

Not as difficult as it might seem and a doddle for computer science grads/hacks.

What surprises me is the lack of decent encryption for these files.

A multi-million game that can be hacked with notepad.

Wasnt the online rushed? Rockstar really have fecked up with the online, though I still get enjoyment from it they need to sort it out.
