It's a scummy thing to do all right and it's disrespectful but throwing him out of the gaff is an overreaction. Both of you should sober up and just tell him that craic isn't on in future. If he has somewhere else to go then fair enough, stick to your guns.

He's a 21 year old acting like a 21 year old. It's not worth falling out over. Tell him you're peed off, ask him not to do it again, and move on. You're both in the wrong here, but you're the older brother - be the bigger man and put an end to it.

unless you two were sharing the bed and it left you with no place to sleep then you over reacted.

OP, AH is not the place to come for serious advice. Of course you were right. In any shared house I lived in where that happened, and it did, the person was kicked out if he lived there and used someone else's bed ( generally when that happened it was because the person in question wanted to use a double bed) or banned from the house.

Probably most people here are living with Mammy.

Genuinely couldn't imagine doing that to my younger brother, if he did something like that I'd have a laugh over it, but it prob depends on how close your relationship is before that.

My mistake then, but as a woman with brothers myself I still think it's a serious over-reaction!

Everyone here thinks I'm a bad bastard for throwing him out. He's gone to my older bros house. Its my house and the fact he just lied in my face is what pissed me off. Nothing to do with pulling the first bird or whatnot. He's a guest in my house that I work hard every week to keep.

You rent, not even your house, never will be.

He is also your brother, and jobs and houses come and go. . . Just like he might have done on your sheets, but family is a one off.

Tell him that he was out of order, but don't punish him in a way that could ruin your relationship for good.

he's over on a two week holiday , is that right ? .... think about it ! , when is the next time you are going to see him after he goes home ! ...he was a little pr*ck for doing it ! , but seriously get over it and enjoy the time left you have with him ! ...

With the risk of getting attacked here I reckon most guys here think you over reacted cos hey, your brother got laid. That is ok with them cos they wish they were him. Not getting enough themselves.

Probably written by someone in mortgage arrears. If you pay for a house, or a room in part of a house, you have rights to it. The landlord can't even come in without permission. Nobody else should.

He was a bit cheeky and out of line but throwing him out might a been a bit harsh.
