Milking finally bloody done, had a heifer start calving 1/2 way through it, typical she finds the worst corner of the calving shed and lies down at the worst possible angle, no major drama with the calving but she couldnt getup afterwards. Gave her a bottle of Cal, then had to wrestle around with her for awhile before I got her sitting up, of course I got destroyed in ****e from where she picked to throw out her head. Anyways all done now, back on the sauce for the rest of the night!

I have two North Ronaldsay sheep, currently on the endangered list and hoping to get a ram for them next year and build a small flock.

Kovu, would you be more of an endangered species, than rare breed?

No, very hardy sheep although they have it fairly cushy at the moment. They have no tolerance to copper so we must be careful what we give them. One was tipped by a swaledale and the other by a scottish blackface so it will be interesting to see what comes out of em. But the ultimate goal is to breed a few pure next year.

Fair play, I'm a bit of a dreamer when it comes to farming. Working my bollix off in the uk trying to get dollars together to buy land out the back of the homeplace. Want something for the son to have so investing in stock/Land seems the logical step!!

Would i be able to buy pet lambs or do i need paperwork?? we used to keep them when i was a kid
