there is a drain running along the upper side of the house and there is two down pipes off the gutters going into this, its coming in there sonewhere but cant find where, the plaster must be cracked on the outside somewhere. Good thing us that where the water is coming in is all tiled so at least its not destroying inside the house

Are you able to get up for a look at the gutters ? Might be crap blocking them after all the wind the last week

Yea I know but it's on a lake for the moment. Not venturing out to anything else until I have the feel of it. At least it came with a buoyancy aid so that's sorted! :)
Jesus, trying to find a female wetsuit here and I'm beginning to think I'll just get one of ye to do it as you can enjoy all the other pictures:D:D
There are two shops beside one another in Grand Canal Quay in Dublin. One specialises in scuba gear and the other in kyaking gear etc. I have seen ladies wet and dry suits in both.

Have ye got relief into the drain, have you a blockage there?

its an open concrete drain about a foot square with a grid over it. No leaves in it. Might end up haveing to take plaster off in spring and replaster a section of that wall

I'm sorry to say jersey but I see a medium term future in which a lot of the cash your place is generating goes into the house for a few years. It probably has to be done but plan it rather than going at it piecemeal. One of the neighbours did up an old house around here a few years ago and did a spectacular job on it. He'd probably have had a new house built for what he spent but it'll be there for another 150 years after the job they did.

considering the house was nealy falling down 10yrs ago were not doing too bad. Was full of rats and nothing worked. id say every bit of spare cash has either gone into house or farm

I find insuremyvan.ie good for price . They got me a much cheaper quote with aviva than aviva themselves .
