So I still didn't pull the trigger on a mech keyboard, and have been watching the price flucuate slightly (2£ or so every day) And now it's €115, up from 85

Ouch, that's not a good price. Looks like there's another seller on Amazon offering it new for 75 pounds (in the "more buying choices" box).

I've decided I'll only buy if I have an abundance of left over money in January :D

Well, my new setup of Asus O plus and ps3 for bedroom works like a charm. Was a long needed setup. Unfortunately I did not expected it to back fire on me in such........ horrible horrible way.

Misses did not used PC for watching stuff as it was a bit a pain in a hole ( I admit 100% ), so now as she can watch her movies and DVD sets again.... She decided to watch Sex and the City back to back all episodes.
Now I know that Carrie really loves Mr. Big. Yes, its got so bad that I start knowing stuff in that shiet. No matter how I try to to immerse myself in to PS vita **** still slips over in to my ear. I am screwed. :(

@Game4it: Thanks, but I actually ended up just ordering new fittings and tubing. Ironically it's 7/16-5/8 :P. I've got stuff arriving from a few different places, but I'll throw up pictures once I've got everything sorted.

Hey all, I was considering putting together a small cheap PC, maybe for HTPC or Media Server or just as a backup PC.
I have CoolerMaster 120 elite case(Micro-ATX), PSU, Amd 5450 Graphics card, hard drives, RAM etc.

Basically all I'll need a Motherboard and CPU.
What do you think of this combo?

    ASRock H61M-VG3 Micro ATX motherboard for €42;
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASRock-H61M-VG3-Motherboard-Express-Extreme/dp/B00AYNWPN8/
    and this
Celeron G1610 Dual Core CPU for €40
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Celeron-Processor-2-6GHz-Socket/dp/B00B4NZYRQ/

Looking to the future, I'm a bit concerned that the mainboard is limited (doesn't have HDMI out/Optical out),
but then again the price is very good.
    What do you think?

I've been looking at an ITX build in a 130 elite
I was looking at the 1150 version of that board. A good bit more expensive but a few extra features,
Pair that with a G3220. Just what I was thinking of doing.

On a side note, What is the cheapest graphics card I can get that will runn things on high settings but on a 1440 x 900 monitor??

I'm in final year myself at the moment of Computer Science. I worry about being a good programmer in industry when I graduate or even passing the technical interviews. I think the fact that I don't write a lot of code in my spare time outside of college will screw me in interviews. I have amazing grades but little else cause I spent so much time doing college work. Sorry for the life story :D

On the same boat. I think you have to either be very proficient or neglect getting any fresh air to have any time to code in free time.

Final Year has been incredibly tough to far. I'm just banking on their being so many jobs that a have to eventually get one :P

Ah don't forget to enjoy life. You'll learn plenty when you get a job and do it 40 hours a week.

Most interviewers won't expect you to know the minutiae of every api inside out. you'll need to have a solid understanding of the fundamentals, but if you have that and can get that across clearly you'll do just fine in interviews.

Invest in a good set of in ear noise blocking headphones.

I use Shure 215s: get the fitting right and you won't hear a thing apart from your game.

    Price: 120 Sterling.

    Your sanity: priceless :-)

AMD Catalyst 13.12 is out today and when I was reading through the notes I noticed this "PCI-E bus speed is no longer set to x1 on the secondary GPU when running in an AMD CrossFire configuration"
I run a crossfire setup myself does this mean anything significant for me?

All the issues where fixed in betas already. If your using the latest beta the only difference as far as I can see is certified drivers.
