Before Iphones were thought of I opened a moving Car's door to pull in my seat belt and half fell out, but a mate pulled me back by the Hasp of me ass. I was driving

I was nearly turned away from Krystal in Dublin last night. I felt terrible about it but it had to be said: "Don't you know what I own?"

On producing my iPhone 5s I was whisked right to the V.I.P. (very important phone) section, kept well away from the scummy Samsung crowd.

I have a Nokia Lumia (which I know isn't an iPhone 5) .. I was outside fighting with the bouncers and getting sick on the pavement :D

As a young chap in the 70's, I was messing around on the road with a strip of metal binding that goes around crates. I was lobbing it up in the air when it touched off the power cables. I had let it go a split second earlier. There was a huge bang and it blacked out the entire street for the day.

Not really a close thing, as back in those days the cable from the telephone in the hall wouldn't stretch to the outdoors

    Mine goes as follows,
This morning my alarm went off. My phone, a brand new Iphone 5s, started vibrating on the table when the alarm sounds. The vibration made the phone move. So it fell off the table, and almost fell into my glass of water, which was on the ground. It literally tipped down the side of the glass.

I said to myself "God, that was close" :-)

I was walking along minding my own business one day when I heard the most blood-freezing scream above me. I looked up just in time to see a young lady, white as snow with a look of terror plastered across her features, her chestnut brown eyes locked with mine and her arms outstretched over her balcony seemingly reaching for me from three stories up.
    Then I saw it....
Hurtling towards my face at what was easily it's terminal velocity was a brand new, white, still-with-plastic-on-it IPhone 5s. Time seemed to slow down as an adrenaline rush took hold. The sounds of the surrounding street, from the chattering of passers by to the rolling of tyres on the road, all fading out as I focused on the rustling of the plastic packaging. The clouds in the sky, the cracks in the plaster on the buildings upper levels all becoming unimportant as the rotating, glinting screen seared itself upon my retinas demanding my undivided attention. I had little time to act but act I did. I put all strength into my right leg, pushing back, bringing my arms down to my waist and rotated as a result, the movement forcing back down my head aswell. I could feel the air rushing past my face as a white bullet-fast blur shot downwards past my vision. I had just enough time to close my eyes from the explosive shrapnel of a million pieces of glass and cheap Chinese plastic that assaulted my body upon the objects impact with the footpath, all senses suddenly returning with a wall of realisation: That IPhone nearly hit me. Thank god I got out of the way, that was close!

Almost got an iphone for €50 before.
    Got confirmation and all.
    Loads of people did.
Then Vodafone spotted their cock up.
They must have thought, Ooh that was close!

Driving a quad off a pier during a snowstorm
Trying to jump a metal pole and getting it jammed into my thigh
Having a bullet ricochet and come towards me missing me by about a foot or two
Having a car spin out at a rally and come sideways my way before it hit a leftover tree stump just ahead of me and 3 other marshals and stopped
Meeting a car coming the other way on a closed road when i was passenger.

I was on my motorbike flying along one Sunday afternoon and there was a tractor driving along in the opposite direction with a sprayer fitted on the back. The tractor hit a pothole, breaking the chain holding the sprayer arms and one of the arms swung right out, 'clothes-line'-ing me.

In a very literal sense, I could have been killed easily. I could have been decapitated. The guards, the ambulance people, witnesses, the inspectors that followed everything up said they were dumbfounded it wasn't a fatal crash. It hit me in just such a way across my head, upper arm and forearm as to ball me back up the road the way I came. The bike carried on, riderless and smashed into the car travelling behind the tractor and was written off.

The blood drains from my face thinking about how close it was. It changed my perspective massively. I made a lot of changes in my life after that.

If you post it twice, does that mean it's twice as big as an iPhone 5s?

I don't have an iPhone 5s. Just as well, it seems to cause a lot of near accidents.

Frequently...try riding a motorcycle in Dublin with some of the fookwits out there on the roads

If you had an iPhone 5s (like I have) you could use the cloaking device app and stay safe from the crazy hoards.
