Yep I'd be taking my reading glasses along to check for news papers and filler under that black paint.

I'm not 100% on this, but that car might have been fitted with the vastly improved head gasket kit.

If that's the case and with that incredibly low price for a relatively new 4WD, then the only worry left is how underpowered it is :D

Okay, I'm not sure if this is really good value for money, but I'll post it anyway and see what people think.

    Merc E320 Estate
    3.2 Diesel
    180k Miles
    NCT 8/14
    €1800

It looks very nice. Possibly an alternative to an MPV type thing if you needed such a car. I guess the 3.2 tax is the real downside to this.

    Rover 75
    1.8 Petrol
    115k Miles
    NCT 3/2015
    €580
Awful wheels - but at under €600 with NCT that long, I wouldn't care.

Have never seen those wheels on a 75 before - so would say chances are those are not the factory wheels.

Should be easy enough to get a set of replacements somewhere (probably UK)

Aye, the best feature of the Rover 75 is its sublime comfort. But only on 15" factory alloys with fat boggo 195/65 tyres. Changing them wouldn't be my highest priority though on a €500 car with 15 months NCT :)

He's posted that car three times now. The latest with a price drop which is always nice. Older add says "alloys new both 6 months ago payed 450." Probably sell them off for a few quid?

I'm sure there are many a scrap yard in the country with 75's lying about. There are some nice wheels you can get (Even off Mg's) that would majorily improve the looks of that car.

Good point - the uk was in my head - because when I think of buying original type wheels for a car - the first thing that comes into my head is owners club/forums or Ebay.

Not the cheapest Saab out there but it has a decent amount of NCT, low mileage, a high spec and you could tax it for a year (if the tax is out) and still have plenty of Bangernomics cash left over for santa :D

    2000 Saab 93
2.0 (possibly non turbo so I've no interest...)
    74,000 miles
    NCT 10/14

Same house as that s60 I poster a few pages back. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=87932153&postcount=5564

That saab is listed as an ecopower turbo.

Ah that figures, I did the free check and it came up '2.0 EP'. The lack of a T in the engine code threw me off...

Funny reading the descriptions in both ads:
****VOLVO S60****DIESEL****lady owner very clean just fully serviced taxed 5-2014 n.c.t 2-2015 milage 94.000 full black leather seats parking sensors el/windows el/mirrors cd/player alram immobiliser remote central locking alloys with 4 good tyres car has (14 months n.c.t) + (6 months tax), every thing working perfect and drives 110% call any time first to see will DEFINITLY buy
****SAAB 93****very clean fully serviced fantastic milage only 74.000 (genuine) n.c.t 10-214 just past, full leather seats el/windows el/mirrors cd/player alarm immobiliser remote central locking alloys with 4 good tyres car has (11 months n.c.t) + every thing working perfect and drives 110% call any time first to see will DEFINITLY buy

Having said that they are both nice cars, highly specced and good value!

^^I appreciate were talking a €450 car but 78k odd mileage seems really really low for a 99 diesel (assuming he correctly wrote it in at 124,000 km and its not mileage)...even at that its low.

Also I see its got the facelift model tail lamps. Wonder did it get a rear end slap at some stage.

As bladespin mentions though you wont go too far wrong at that money

13 months NCT for €950. Good value or overpriced?

    1991 Volvo 940
    2.3 Petrol (non turbo)
    148k Miles
    NCT 1/15
    €950
A very nice family bus imo.

Its an interesting car - and maybe some will say its too old.

But if you don't mind that - then I can't see why not.

To put it all into perspective - the early models of the 92 t0o 97 Corolla - are only a year newer then this.

Hard to imagine how a 93/94 Corolla would be significantly better as a daily driver then a good one of these - if one doesn't mind paying more on fuel or driving a bigger car.

Think we had this up before - although not with 13 months test if I recall.

    Nice car imo

S6 estate? or sleeper of the year. !

Not an S6, but still a quick car I'd imagine.

Saw that a while ago, no NCT or tax so I didn't post it.

Posted it back in early Nov when it only had 2 months test. He obviously decided a test would make for an easier sale.
    Was looking €850 back then.
With a full year test I think it's pretty cool motoring for around 900 notes.!
