I never realised how annoying this habit was until I moved into my current abode with a flat mate who does it. My god, I'd rather listen to that slurping sound a dog makes while licking it's balls than hear someone munching on their nails.

My Dad's girlfriend clips her nails into my turfbucket when they come to my house.

I'm gonna put her in the turfbucket some day.

It absolutely makes me want to hurl. It's even worse if you see it in someone who works in the catering industry or involved in preparing food. I went into a sandwich place recently and saw the guy making sandwiches had nails bitten down to the quick. Hands that had obviously spent a great deal of time shoved in his mouth for a nibble. Needless to say I flounced my petticoats and got out of there asap, it's fcuking vile.

If you think about it, People who bite their nails are probably more likely to wash their hands more regularly then those who dont . .

I don't see the connection with nail biting and bad hygiene, so it perhaps you just have a fetish for people with nice hands serving you food . .:P
