    Peugeot 406 Coupe
    2.0 Petrol
    100k Miles
NCT 8/14, tax out since Dec 1st
    €800
Not a bad price considering the 9 months NCT. I was going to buy one of these before I bought my MK4 Golf cab. Smart looking cars imo.

    Bargain.

My mother has had two of them(with that engine) and both were superb. Great place to sit and that engine is quite excellent. Also an extremely safe place to be.

Couple of things pop to mind with this.
First off, I love the looks, wheels and the black just sets it off.
    The negative:
Sweet f all written about the car.
It has 66k so one should assume the belts may need doing, factor another 3-400e.
    No mention of tax.
I think I'd prefer the 03 147, no NCT worries for over a year and a much better description of the car

Yep, It seems he was offered a job and than a couple of weeks later told no more business. so he's going back on dole and doesn't need the car anymore.

Beautiful but the lack of information and soon to expire NCT would make me run for the hills.

If its too good to be true, it probably is.

I'd say you'd be lucky to get down to the shops before the TB went.

Disagree , if Bromwyne's name is on the reg cert for more than a few months it's serious value, and she could well have receipts for work done too.

For all we know it could be a one owner with full history and full leather. Well worth checking if you were in the market for a 1.6 of any description.

If I was going to see it i'd be in touch with the TI Auto lads and see if they'd come along and give it a proper inspection.

    I'd be very wary though.

I really don't know what you mean by this.
If you had receipts for the work that had been done to the car, wouldn't you at least mention it in the ad?
For all we know it could be a 5 owner, no FSH baseline model as well.
I wasn't saying don't go and view it, I'm an Alfa nut so I know the cars fairly well so going on the info of both the 2006 and 2003 147's I'd be going for the 03 147.
Writing 2 words in an ad puts me off, if you can't be bothered writing a good ad then whats to say they couldn't be bothered maintaining it properly

the 02 147 on the last page you mean? Or is there a 03 example further back? Imo the 147 facelift is much nicer at the front compared to the pre facelift.

    Sorry yes the 02.
Oh yeah I'd much prefer the F/L version but going on a longer NCT and much more comprehensive ad I'd be more inclined to go for the 02.

What do we think folks? Why would just under the passenger doors be black?

    This too shall pass.

    Cheap repair I'd say.

    It's a 2 grand car , not a 220,000 Ferrari .

And for Bear1 , donedeal advert says ring Bronwyn,

so my point is if Bronwyn really is down as the owner on the reg cert and it matches the address ,and she's the person selling it now, one could be on to a very genuine car, from a genuine private punter.

I'm not disputing the authenticity of who the owner is :)
The reason why Moneymaker said he/she would bring an inspector along is that even though it's a 2k car with 66k on the clock, you wouldn't want to drive 20km down the road and the belt goes pop. That's your 2k gone plus the cost of repairing the damage.
I would also be bringing someone that knows their Alfas (petrol one anyway) with me if I was to go and buy another

Probably not very economical for long journeys and very little info on ad but seems cheap for the year for one of these.

    05 Freelander, 145k kms, 2k euro
