Crowds in the stadium are now chanting and singing making it impossible to hear the incredibly boring speeches.

    Boring speeches. Well that's unexpected

Who will the first one out of the ANC, to start publishing the $hit, before this carnival is over, we will start to get the story about not upsetting the apple tart, as one of our great leaders used to say

Are you having a go at my promiscuous but sensitive cousin who sells fruit on Moore St.?

Whats today about, if its not the funeral?? I actually thought it was the funeral today when I saw all the the people at that stadium. Is today a memorial of sorts? Will all these World Leaders be there until he is buried?

    I suppose it's a wake of sorts.

But there's not a drop of whiskey to be seen. Not much of a wake if you ask me.

But at least Mugabe is there. He's tremendous fun.

It's a memorial. The world leaders (at least not this many of them) will not be at the funeral due to it being out in the sticks. It would be a logistical nightmare.

Obama shakes hands with Raul Castro of Cuba.
    Wow.

If he'd go ahead and drop those international law breaking sanctions as well that would be just swell.

Looks like four US presidents went to make sure he was dead after Mandela had said this ten years ago:
"If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don't care for human beings."

"There is no doubt that the United States now feels that they are the only superpower in the world and they can do what they like."
"57 years ago, when Japan was retreating on all fronts, they (U.S.) decided to drop the atom bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Killed a lot of innocent people, who are still suffering from the effects of those bomb. Those bomb were not aimed against the Japanese. They were aimed against the Soviet Union. To say, look, this is the power that we have. If you dare oppose what we do, this is what is going to happen to you. Because they are so arrogant they decided to kill innocent people in Japan who are still suffering from that."
"Who are they now to pretend that they are the policemen of the world?"

Tony Blair went to make sure he was dead as well.given Mandela was not a fan of his.

"He is the foreign minister of the United States. He is no longer prime minister of Britain."

    Lol
Crowds are continuing to sing and dance in the rain. The chairperson is begging, begging mercifully, for them to stop. Hilarious stuff :D

This ceremony is farcical, ADHD central, not painting 'modern SA' in a good light

They are trying to create positivity in the crowd with the music and drown out the boos

I agree with his general sentiments about the US there, but not on the atomic bombings. Far, far more would have died if they hadn't used them.

Can't believe the poor turn out, they should have held it in a church, overly ambitious service hijacked by politicians.. backfiring badly now

Would agree with you there. An invasion of the home islands would have been a bloodbath.

Was it just my imagination or did Michelle Obama look a bit pi$$ed off at the memorial service this morning? Obama said something to her while they were smiling and waving and her facial expression totally changed.

They really don't like Zuma do they, booing him earlier and the crowd having to be asked to behave. His speech now is just him looking down solemnly reading a script off a page. Not exactly from the heart (or himself either perhaps). Whatever about being coached on what to say but surely the president of SA could put together some sort of heartfelt or rousing speech on this occasion.

Genuinely I think this gig needs Miriam O Callaghan to bring a bit of gravitas to it
