Williamson in for Dawson. Getting closer to my bargain basement defence. Terry, Gabby, Willy, Coleman & Clyne

My Ramsey pot is also at 3.1 mill. Gonna wait for tough fixtures to finish first though!

That's hardly bargain basement in fairness. Terry is 6.6 now. Coleman near 6. I wouldn't even see Clyne as cheap at 4.5.

There are plenty of decent options available at 4 mil. I dumped Clyne for Joel Ward for example.

I've had Terry since the start more or less. He's staying for the season. May go with Chester instead of Williamson

Need to know who else you have. I would say Yaya for Hazard but you may already have him.

Would I be mad to have both a Newcastle Goalie and Defender?

Chico suspended for the Norwich game. Was going to bank my transfer but now I'm thinking whether to get rid of him or Clyne for someone thats definitely going to play. Thoughts?

Fer, Oviedo or or Shelvey? Thinking of a gambling on Fer but is the most expensive

Chico's suspension now means i'm left with either Vlaar or Gabbidon as my third defender. Have already taken a 4 point hit to get Hazard and Lukaku in...is it worth taking another hit to get Norwich or Cardiff defender in or should I just play Gabbidon against Chelsea and hope for the best?

Meanwhile Stevie G is confirmed to be out over Xmas at least.

Time for a hit I'm afraid......

Feck Chico anyway, team is decimated as Cabaye and Chico suspended, Vlaar doubtful so i am going to have to take a hit for Chico..

Any tip's? 5.5 to spend but a cheapy is my preference.

Williamson of Newcastle at 4.4 is my next defensive downgrade.

Have to wait till next we know as need to shift Gerrard.

Have 0.9 in bank so could go for Yaya now. Or also could go for Fer or Paulinho now and have cash to swap Brady for Ozil in 2 weeks after downgrading defence.

Yaya now or wait till after arsenals hard run and get Ozil?

I was looking at a glorious -16 hit earlier, even that's too much for me :pac:

Chester from Hull. They're home to Stoke next gameweek. I would suggest Joel Ward from Palace but they have Chelsea next GW. That said, he rotates well with Ben Turner that you already have.

4 point hit already taken. I could go as high as -12 or -16 depending on my assessment of the next 4 games.

I've done Dawson and Remy to Lukaku and Jagielka. Tomorrow, I'll get Gerrard out (possibly for Hazard). Then I may take a further 4 pointer to get in Howard.

Looking at the fixtures, I wouldn't go for Shelvey, but I was wrong about him for 2 weeks anyway.
Oviedo plays very well, as the whole Everton, but I still consider him as a defender, who won't get clean sheets on FPL. I went for Oviedo last week, and expect him to impress me.
Fer - I am still not convinced to Norwich atm, but he might change it.
Didn't help you at all, I know, but those 3 are very close calls.

That is a lot of hits. Starting to have a doubts if not taking the hits was such a good idea for this week...

I look at each hit separately and if I feel its worth -4, I'll take that hit. I think I have looked at -24 points of hits and whittled it down to -8 for now.

I think the transfers I listed above should easily get those points back in the next few gameweeks. I need to assess Hazard. If he starts Wednesday and Oscar is back Saturday, I may get Oscar instead.

It also sets me up nicely until the January WC.

Why are you getting rid of Remy?

    Next 3 games are; Sou(h), Palace(a), Stoke(h).

Here is the question - I have my doubts about Aguero, mostly because of the price. Would I be better off selling him for Lukaku, and putting money into midfield?
Suarez, Aguero and Lukaku up front, with Morrison, Oviedo, Ramsey, Hazard and Amalfitano in the middle. With 2.7 in the bank I could upgrade both Amalfitano and Morrison to Ozil and someone else.
The only reason I haven't done it yet is Aguero scoring all the time, but I am worried this will end up as RVP with 2 goals/3 games... Not to mention him being rested for 1-2 games over next 3 weeks, and this is one thing I can't afford having poor midfield.

OF all the transfers I have planned, it comes with a little risk...

However, Arsenal have Fulham (H), Swansea (A) and Sunderland (H). I think Lukaku will outscore Remy.

Then if you look at the next three after that - Remy has Arsenal (H), WBA (A) and City (H). Meanwhile, Lukaku has Southampton (H), Stoke (A) and Norwich (H).

Far better fixtures. Also, the Newcastle manager has said that Cisse needs starts. That could be at Remy's expense.

Brady -> Fer. Should have done it for a hit last week. Hindsight and all that. Hopefully Fer's second stint in my team is more fruitful than the first.

It was very easy to me to justify a hit when the player is in doubt (injury/rotation), I even took -8 which gave me nice points, and didn't cost me in the end. -16, however is a risky move, no matter how good it looks to me. Most of you played few seasons so far, so I do look at what players like you and the others do every week. Still learning, and getting addicted...
When I take a hit I want the player to have a great chance to score at least 2 more points than the replaced player. I just can't think of a team where 4 or 6 of my players can be replaced this way.
It does, however, replaces the need to use a wildcard in January, which is very beneficial, even if you see all red arrows in one week.

If I take a hit this week it is all your fault:D

Mig out, Howard in done. Will ship Gerrard out later in the week for a hit, looking like Oscar at the moment.

I've somehow tricked myself into believing that if you are taking a 4point hit and one of the players you are bringing in is either a defender or a keeper then its almost smarter to take a furrther hit for another attacking player as bringing in a defender at a hit is surely pointless....

think about it, you have defender a) who concedes at the weekend but plays the full 90, he gets two points. now if you bring in defender b) he plays a full 90 but unless he keeps a CS and gets the 2 points (cancelling out the 4point hit) you are at a loss! And relying on your one new attacking player to get double figures to make it acceptable.

However if you take an 8 point hit, and plan it well and bring in 2 new attacking players and a defender if both your new attacking players do well you have more then covered the 8 points. even if both only score 5 or 6 each you've come out on top!
