    I (effectively) don't drink alcohol.

It's no biggie to me. I have no problem going out on the beer with me friends but you'd be amazed how often you get the cold shoulder when some find out. My policy is keep it to myself and try to avoid discussing it with strangers/ acquaintances.

    effectively? why add that

Plus, that's actually kind of common, you just gotta meet people who don't bother with pubs.

What kind of people do you meet? o0.

I often just get the "really?...right on ye, well done" or (by foreigners) "you're not Irish".
But why would anyone give you the "cold shoulder"?

I don't drink tea - I think it tastes like metal. A lot of people are bewildered over that.

    I thought everyone got that?!

I thought so for years until I anyone I mentioned it to looked at me like I had two heads!

Watching someone painting their nails puts me into a trance :) I literally like to watch paint dry.

I don't believe in ghosts or anything like that but I get a weird feeling in the presence of people that believe in a spirits (good and evil) at its extreme its an almost out of body flying experience.

I call it my bull**** detector as the last time I had the extreme flying feeling the guy that caused it disappeared when the authorities started to investigate his credentials (claimed to be a medical Dr and he wasn't).

jimi Hendrix saw music as a colour puzzle and the guy who has the record for reciting pi see's pi as a color jigsaw...are you a genius by any chance?

They would also be synesthete's then, it's just associating colour with something that shouldn't be associated, I always thought that everyone tasted colours until I said it one day and got the 17 heads look, also had someone ask me if I was sure I wasn't slightly autistic considering the whole tasting colours thing, then two weeks ago I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about synesthesia.

Considering I misspelled weird in the OP I don't think I am a genius :P:o

I might have the occasional glass of wine with food or a hot toddy if I have the flu.
Plus, that's actually kind of common, you just gotta meet people who don't bother with pubs.

It's not that uncommon really but I go to the pub all the time. To me it's a minor detail but it can be a difficult subject to avoid as much as you try. I like being with people and I don't even mind when people are plastered and I'm not.
I often just get the "really?...right on ye, well done" or (by foreigners) "you're not Irish".
But why would anyone give you the "cold shoulder"?

I've had a million different reactions over the years from the feigned 'good on ya'[get me the fcuk away from this guy] to ambivalence to hostility ("you think you're so much fcuking better than us, don't you")* but thankfully I've made a lot of good friends that couldn't care about it.

*usually where a well-meaning mutual friend would intervene where someone new offers me a pint or tries to encourage me to move onto shots with everyone else. Again, not announcing has always been my policy.

I cannot have any volume button reading at an odd number - on my tv/stereo it can be 14/16 etc., but it cannot be 15. It actually bothers me, I've even changed it in other person's home - like they will adjust the volume and I'll pick up the control and adjust it by 1 if they leave it on an odd number.

Mine has to be an odd number, and no multiples of 5.

    So 1,3,7,9,11,13,17,19,21,23,27,29,31 etc

5,10,15,20 etc are absolute no goes.

I was born on the 17th and I generally tend to like numbers with 7's in them. Not sure I'd like my volume with a 7 in it though....

    I never noticed that before ... I joined in '09 ... now I feel sick :(

Ha ha it's not a general number thing, it's really only got to do with the volume. And if I'm doing something, I try to finish up on an even number if possible...

That would be fine so long as it only goes to 10

Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top number and make that a little louder?*

*Hope you got the reference, I'm not trying to be annoying :)

    Same here.
But 8 out of ten people put the milk in anyway, just to show me what I'm missing out on. :D

I skip a step every time I climb stairs, because of my lanky legs. I don't even think twice about doing it. I can also click off absolutely anything, guess my finger is double jointed or something. Can even click off my tongue!

I don't like having it at number 13 - I have slight Triskaidekaphobia. On my car stereo I always set it to 12 or 14. I wouldn't mind but 13 seems to be the perfect volume.
