    I'm guessing the server won't be getting reset until the 1.7.2 Bukkit release. Not really much point in a new map if it (in theory) could be only up for a week (as nobody knows when Bukkit will be done).

    Reset the map or not - either way no ones online ever. I say reset the map anyway, get everyone back even it is for only a week or so.

    I think dec is trying to wait-and-see in the hope that the slew of dev builds over the last two days will see a proper Beta release very soon. Remember the last time Bukkit murdered the server? :eek:

    switched from the xbox version to pc yesterday and bought minecraft. the latest version i downloaded was 1.7.2 i think. can i join the boards server or do i need to find an older version? ive seen 1.6.4 talked about alot.

    Boards vanilla server is pretty much dead at this point, a new 1.7.2 server will be going up in the very near future however ;)

    Hi guys. I was wondering, does it make sense for us to wait for the new FTB? I found a mod pack called Overload, which actually has too many packs, so I use the Overload Lite pack on SP. Would it be possible to start a new world on the server with that pack? I know it needs a different launcher, ATLauncher, so it might be fairly impractical for most. Just thought I'd throw the suggestion out there, at the risk of sounding like I don't really know what I'm talking about... Which is the case :P Hehe

    FTB Beta will be out soon. Slowpoke was on twitch saying that the only thing holding things back are the launcher. Private beta for his twitch subscribers soon, then 2 weeks after it will go public along with 4 modpacks.

    Been playing single player on AT launcher which is tiding me over for the minute. I don't mind if we switch to ATLauncher or wait for new ftb.

    AtLauncher wont work for me at all. Whenever I try go to fullscreen, it crashes. :(

    crap, that happened to me. i was on nights when i fixed it so i cant remember how i did it. ill have a quick look back when i get back to the pc.

    Well, I'm very happy with Magic Launcher so far, including on 1.7.2. You have to install each base Minecraft version on its own before Magic Launcher picks it up - it's not like FTB which does it all for you.

    I've used MultiMC up to this point, and it has been awesome! It has a bit more flexibility than ATLauncher, but ATLauncher has the 'Downloads' folder, which make adding and removing mods from different instances very quick and easy. I had some trouble with ATLauncher as well at first, I think the main thing is to make surr the right mods are in the instance's Mods folder, not just ATLauncher's Downloads folder.

    I was thinking it might need a big overhaul on the server if we switch launchers. Is that the case? Overloaded itself is very resource intensive thouhg. We could use the Overload Lite pack. How have you found it, Xeyn?

    Yeah Xeyn, Overload is very cool! Almost akin to the Forgrecraft stuff, sans the bug-testing and other weirdness :)

    Hmm,must try out overload. Been playing Hexxit to keep me ticking over,i like the rpg aspect to it. Not much to do in it bar the combat though

    I just saw on Twitter the new FTB Launcher is out! Ooooh I'm all tingly and unable to sit still! There's a horizon pack on the way tonight, let's hope the others follow shortly... :)
