+3 on the harder to get satellites are showing the games as normal. Seen a stream with Arsenal on it and the +3 DOG was showing in the top right hand corner

Heineken Cup rugby on +3 is now also being replaced by Al Jazeera Sports News. JSC is now good for absolutely nothing

Maybe the EPL thinks that the fans will stay at home/in the pub watching the rugby now.

Next thing they will try to close down all tv channels across Europe on Saturday afternoons just in case there might be anything else on to distract those hardcore football fans.

    It's a joke.

tks for the info on that seriously thought about getting 1-4 for the H cup , but given that hey cannot guarantee the fixtures its not worth the risk.

It's a real shame. It used to be a must have card.

Anyone know if the Heineken Cup rugby tonight on Al Jazeera +3 was blocked on Hotbird?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 502 ✭✭✭Finne1993

Answering my own question here just to let you know +3 showed all 3 listed Heineken Cup matches on Hotbird today

Yes and I noticed the commentary was same as Sky Sports UK

It always was. The only difference in coverage is sometimes you hear them talking about a replay they are showing but on +3 is live pictures from the ground instead of the replay

Sky own the rights to that and the FA Premiership, they just broadcast it and other channels rebrand it with there own logo!

    $50.00 :
3 Month Subscription to Full Sports Package
Access to all ALJAZEERASPORT.TV channels for $50 for 3 months, repeating at $50 every 3 months unless cancelled.

Ouch, from $50 per year to $50 per quarter, i certainly won't be renewing the .TV subscription

http://www.en.aljazeerasport.tv/Home in online or through a tablet. If they are starting to charge that amount for online access, i can only guess at what they are going to charge after May for Satellite coverage.

Eh Al Jazeera own rights too for the rugby and the FA Premier League along with the Spanish Primera etc. etc. I was only stating the commentary was identical.

You can do a lot better than that. But don't do nothing for the next few weeks and see how the pairing goes

You don't think €15 per month is good value for the amount of games that are available?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,914 ✭✭✭lertsnim

No. It can be viewed by going to the website or using their app
