They only look like standard 126 alloys polished to me.

Just came across these two images from this thread in 2009 by Volvoboy and Lauder:

    Image019.jpg

I'm 99% sure this passed me while I was sitting at those lights where its photoed above. It came from the Tonlagee road direction and headed in the direction of the Garda station. Does anyone know if its local?

Happy new year Capri, some of those were a bit out of focus and doing my eyes in , but the last one made my day!

Saw one the exact same around Carrick on Shannon with a new import ??-LM-3001 reg.

That one for sale looks to be a complete resto, if it has all the newly upgraded bits then it's a fair enough price, (still open to a bit of haggling of course).

    Oddity here - 1981 plates on a W124 estate.

That's because the reg actually belongs to a W123 estate, example below

One for the 'Elephant......' thread ? ( Camera date correct / Arklow roundabout ? )

Not essentially classic, but a lot of Old cars still being used around London in very good condition. Seem to be better kept and would have full years tax and test on them too.

Date is not correct, but I saw this today.

Not Arklow, but Clarehall/Belmayne - just next to the Hilton.

    Right here

Strangely enough the other day I saw a black 01 e-class by the bandon road roundabout in Cork,it was a 95 shape e-class with a 01-D reg,I wondered why it wasn't a w210,it was diesel AFAIK,My dad thought it was an import, could it have been a w124 with a w210 chassis, normally it's a newer car on an older chassis,it looked the same as this only in black: https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTWB4xOrBGpDli-BsQMnjk8DvvZXfnL-G8V7KaG8vyms2ppCCRi

According to Mercedes, production of the last W124 was in 1996, with Wikipedia mentioning some production in India until December 1997, but there doesn't seem to be any legit way to have an 01 reg on a W124, unless it remained unregistered anywhere until then (extremely unlikely).
