    It's up there though.
Well worth trying if you can grab one.

I might do one last order from Drink Store before Christmas. Waiting for pay-day before making that decision... :/

Anyone tried the celt experience ales? Had a few tonight, quite nice. Tried the bronze, golden and bleddyn 1075 tonight. Very tasty, think the golden was my favorite.

Finally got around to having SN northern hemisphere wet hop...probably shouldn't have left it 8 months from buying to drinking but it was still great!:)
Thing that's annoying me most though is how great it could have been had I drank it when I bought it. :(

Just saw a picture from Galway Bay's twitter of them putting an Imperial Stout into whiskey barrels.

    Looking forward to that!

Lads just thinking, with more and more craft beer pubs selling beer by the growler, would it be possible to arrange a group buy?

Yep tied a few. Got them in Kennys Off-Licence in Lucan. Can't remember which ones I've had but can remember that they didn't exactly bowl me over.
    Still quite nice though.

Bit underwhelmed by both the 8 degrees back to blacks I've had. Aztec stout is watery and the roast notes are too much in the zeus

Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro is nice and milky. Really enjoyed it. Nice and smooth too. Every beer tastes nice with a red hot vindaloo, though... Full credit may not be deserved.

Interesting. I typically wouldn't have a stout with a curry, particularly a spicy one.
I'd typically go for an IPA.

Sierra Nevada Narwhal. Not exceptionally bold, but delicious all the same. Very full, creamy body.

Was in Sweetman's Saturday night. €4 for the pale ale is an absolute bargain.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Drinking a Lindemans Faro Lambic - my word.

The IPAs were still chilling and I didn't want to wait. Two Widmers Nelson Imperial, but the Nitro felt quite light. Worked fine for me anywho :)

Had the Zeus IPA and Aztec stout tonight. The Aztec caught in the back of my throat a bit near my glands - maybe a bit too much cinnamon??

Really enjoyed the Zeus though. Like the roasted ness - hybrid of porter and IPA perfect for the night that was in it.

Was in Belgium at the weekend.
Tried out a few beers for the first time.

    Orval was bliss.
    maredsous equally as lovely.
Gouden Carolus Classic (winner of best dark beer in world beer awards 2012 aparantly) was grand but not my thing.
    Corsendonk as nice as ever.
Had a duvel for the first time in about 12 years and still amnt a fan.
Otherwise there was a fair bit of la chuffe and leffe on tap drank which was grand, especially when it was 2.50 for a 250ml glass of the stuff in a pub!

I tried the Zeus and the Aztec last night too.
Didn't care for the Aztec at all. Slight chilli heat but nor real chilli flavour.
I thought the Zeus was fantastic, though.

For me that's two world class beers from 8 Degrees this year - Zeus and Amber Ella. Irish beer has really upped its game in the last 12 months or so:D

Must try Zeus again with a cleaner palette, thought the roast malt was too much when I had it the other night

Glad I am the not the only one feeling the same about it. It wasn't a bad drink and on another day I'd enjoy it but Saturday night I found it rather hard going. I'll get to try the Zeus in a few days time.

By the way, Rustbucket arrived in the Headline late on Saturday evening :)

I'll have to give it a look. I like BrewMasters the DogFishHead one, even if it was a bit cheesy at times.

Didn't like the DFH one, it's far too "American"

5 Lamps Liberties Ale - not a bad beer a good beer to get people started on for hops exposure.

It's very light sweetness like caramel followed by some hops and not too carbonated either.

Would like to try a draft version also.
