    Harsh penalty to Celtic
Harsh? We've had the same penalty given against us 2-3 times (one against Hearts actually, when the referee didn't even see it) and commentators seemed to think it was perfectly fair.

This always seems to be how these decisions "even themselves up" though. We get it in a game we're 5-0 up in, and they go against us in a cup game at 0-0 or whatever.

No way should that the ref give a penalty for that

Billy dodds absolutely outraged over a penalty being given for what was a blatant, albeit unintentional, handball in the box

You do realise that the rules now state that it has to be a 'deliberate' handball. Not a chance that was deliberate. Willie Collum filled the togs again

Surely the time is ripe for Celtic to pursue entering English football.

I love how whenever it's a Prem team like Chelsea or City beasting someone the media are full of talk about how impressive and entertaining it is, but whenever we do it it's a real shame for the neutrals and our dominance is an embarrassment. Gotta hand it to the Sky Sports PR team.

Hertz are just another cheating club of the same ilk (in more ways than one) getting found out by a team who earns their victories.

Whats changed in England that would allow Celtic to join?

6-0 and nothing from our strikers, they should be all sold in January! I'm serious!

I do. My point was that it was easy to see why the ref gave it. Without the benefit of slow motion replays from various angles, its always going to be difficult for a ref to make a call based on a players intention, rather then action

Yeah we don't have anyone even half decent up front, the problem with selling them all is that we would probably sell them all before lining up the replacements

Its easier to see that Willie Collum is a poor referee

Stokes (the only striker we had on the pitch) was directly involved in three of our goals.

Biggest away win in the SPL is Dunfermline 1-8 Celtic in 05/06. Lenny scored a rare goal that day.

We've scored 7 goals so far today and the best our strikers, (i.e. Pukki & Stokes) could manage is assist the assist for a couple of them. Thats nowhere near good enough imo

You don't get a goal without an assist. Stokes is a creative striker, as he showed when he set up bags of goals for Hooper. He was involved in most of our CL goals this year too. Goals we wouldn't have scored without him.

Ledley won loads of plaudits despite doing nothing at all for a long time. Stokes plays a direct hand in helping us win.

Yeah it's a real shocker Pukki didn't score those first 6 goals, being on the bench and all

We need some quality in the box taking the chances, we have no issues creating chances even in the CL against quality side. Unfortunately all of our strikers at present are creators rather than finishers

Pukki came on at 6-0, why you even think bringing up is relevant is beyond me.
If you think Ledley does nothing I'm not sure I rate your opinion very highly tbh

Stokes isn't good enough, definitely not good enough for Europe. If Lennon gets his striker and his creative am in January, Stokes will be back up.

Has Pukki even had a shot on target yet?

Fair enough, I took it up wrong on first reading. I rate your opinion slightly higher now! ;)

Pukki is no use I agree there. Since MON left we've only signed 3 strikers who had a decent scoring record, and funnily enough they've been our only good ones. Every other striker we've signed has been certified pish before arriving and maintained that record.

Why not stick with what works and go for a striker that is proven at some level - Jordan Rhodes at Blackburn for example. Could John Park's ego handle us signing a known player?

Anyway great result. When the Celts, go up, to lift the Scottish Cup you'll be deid, you'll be deid!

Ah now, Hearts were absolutely shocking. Celtic barely got out of 2nd gear and destroyed them

I'd be happy if a few of those goals went in on Tuesday instead

Enjoyed that. Always nice to beat them, esp. on their home turf.

In fairness though, they looked a completely inexperienced team, and a very young team at that. Once Celtic got a goal or two, there was always the potential for the flood gates to open.

I do agree we have a problem with the strikers though. I know Stokes had a few assists, but when Broony can get two in a game, you expect a striker to come up with a couple.

Like the look of Fisher again, plenty of confidence. Ambrose made his customary blunder again, thankfully it's didn't cost us, and I thought he did well overall in fairness. Commons is a smashing finisher when he gets decent chances, great to see him back in form.

Pukki, I dunno, losing any faith in the guy whatsoever. Lennon would be better sticking Balde in there again tbh.

So the word of the evening with be 'backlash' then?

The Championship could be interesting next year, Rangers and Dunfermline going up, Hearts going down and joining established sides like Falkirk.
    Could be a nervy affair!
