The DS/3DS clamshell design was a stroke of genius from an artwork perspective. Loads of empty space to put cool images and sell variants by the bucket load.

Really can't say the same for many other consoles. You do get some variants in Japan with other systems, but people don't hoover them up like they do with Nintendo ones.

I'm not a console collector myself (hard to believe with a room full of them!) but I always just saw them as a tool to play games. So I try to limit myself to one of each.

That new Zelda 3DSXL is still looking mighty tempting though...damn you Nintendo! :D

You havent lived until you've seen the princess peach 3ds in person haha..

I have the other zelda one too, the black one, thats a work of art.

Think we have 2 psvitas and 4 3DS in our house at the minute.

I want that Princess Peach 3ds! It's both horrific and fantastic in equal measures. :D

I had it in the box for ages, but it was claimed by my wife and now lives in this case. Even 3ds's get their own clothes these days.

I'd love one of those! I have a lovely Tetris one for my NDS but haven't seen any nice ones for the 3DSXL
Might diy one if I can just decide on something lol

I think I have an MVS addiction :o

No dodgy looking cart shells, I think they may all be originals. I hope to feck Puzzle Bobble is, every one I buy is a boot!

Also got some nice free interesting pirate bits from someone who used to post on here ages ago - thanks dude if you're reading this, much appreciated. Threw in a Saturn KOF 96 too :)

And here we have even more Neo Geo stuff, a 4 slot and two 6 slots. (under blue things). None of which are working, looking forward to tinkering with them.

Whats with the Sonic 2 cart?

All those Megadrive carts are pirates. I think the Sonic one is a famous proto pirate that was released - includes the axed Wood Zone.

    Don't even go there.
The ban hammer is twitching of it's own accord at the mention of that episode here in A&R towers.

Jesus man, don't remind me! Talk about a bunch of asses. Really shot themselves in the foot there. If they'd been a bit nicer and not harassed me across several forums then they might be playing it now.

It's dumped for future generations anyway. Actually I was thinking of getting SD cards for all my protos, dropping the dumped rom images on them and leave them in clamshell cases along with the carts.

Jaysus, I didn't know about the harassment on multiple forums! That's insane!

I can remember them being pushy on here alright, although I can't remember exactly what was said.

    Glad to hear its dumped.

Is it tested and all? :)

Nope, never got it working in an emu strangely enough. Most of my other ones did though, so it's not the dumping hardware.

I think it needs to have the header edited by someone who knows a bit more about it than I do! The rom image itself is good though.

Great to hear! Hope to play it someday in the future.

I think I might fire up the original some time soon, and try to play it all the way through.

    It's been a long time.

Just read an interested mod recently where someone has it working with the Mega mouse :)

Opened up Puzzle Bobble - it's legit! I can't believe it. Most bootlegged MVS cart and I finally get a legit one.

    Legit board scans

    My new one one :)

Absolutely delighted with that. Must check the rest of them now.

Get that sucker zipped up and encrypted and stick it online as well(privately, like on Google Drive etc). You never know dude, backup the backup, then backup that backup and have a backup just in the case the backup should in fact turn out to be not backed up.

Today's charity shop pickups. Picked up Singstar as it's always good to whip out at a party... one of them was even still sealed.

Or maybe it was never worth playing at all, hence not a bad thing by still being sealed :p

Yeah but if it's VGA graded then it's worth €50,000,000. And you can put OMG R@RE L000K!!! In the eBay auction title.

Just grabbed myself Fez for a fiver on Steam after watching the documentary that included the game called Indie Game: The movie on chanel 4 tonight.

The game looks absolutely stunning in colourful retro goodness!
