Trying the Buried At Sea from the bottle after the draught at the weekend. Ah, I can't reach those heights from the bottle.

Maybe beer just isn't as good from the bottle in general? I know I prefer pretty much everything I've tried from both from the keg.

Well I've had amazing beer from bottles, and tasted beers from both keg and bottle that were similar enough to be happy with. So yeah, in general everything is probably better from the keg, but this one makes me sad that it's not better in the bottle than it is.

Give Chris feedback on Twitter or facebook or even email. He's a good egg and appreciates constructive criticism. Ask him if he's happy with it or whatever. He's always been very honest with me about how happy he's been with his beers.

I bet he's thrilled with of foam and fury

It feels a bit flatter and sweeter, without the nice bitter kick from the pint, but I dunno. I might just tell them how great I think the pint is. I think I'll have one before work tomorrow. It's an exceptional stout, I'm just being a moan the bottle.

Yeah he actually was. Was like a proud child showing off their painting from art class when he was telling people how happy he was with it.

Can't blame him either, what a beer.

Seriously dude, just fire off a quick message saying "hey, love the BAS but I think the bottled version lets the keg version down,..." and put in what you feel is different.

If he doesn't get constructive criticism and feedback from punters how can he know if it needs work?
It's like going to a restaurant and not getting what you ordered and then not calling the staff over and telling them it's wrong and them complaining about it afterwards, how will they learn if you don't give them the opportunity to fix it?

that said, they probably won't give you a free beer for your tweet :pac:

I tried out the Innis & Gunn Rum Cask Oak Aged Beer (Scottish) this evening and it's not bad, but I expected better for the price, €2.99 a bottle. I'll be trying out the other ones during the week to see which tastes the best.

When this "Of Foam and Fury" gets bottled and sent down to us here in the South, it better be the best damn Irish produced craft beer that I have ever tasted after hearing all of you raving about it for the the past couple of weeks.

I just really, really want to try it now..:(

I usually have 1 pint. As I did Tuesday. Before that i'd one pint on Saturday night... It's not like I'm dropping €50 every time I have a beer.

Mid Jan is the official aim but apparently there's a chance it might hit shelves before the end of December.

Given their record, they probably shouldn't rush it.

I think it's more a supplier distribution thing. As in, the beer will be ready at whatever date but the supplier can't take it before another date, or something.

Hope they arent tempted to change the recipe for the bottled version to save on costs.

They didn't. But obviously it's not going to be €2.99 per bottle.

    Erdinger Schneeweisse.

A boozy weissbier. Bit underwhelming for the price, but nice enough all the same. Probably wouldn't be in a hurry to buy it again here though.

Their Facebook page says it'll be the weekend before the Back to Black series hits the pubs/off license. In saying that, they usually deliver to Dublin on Thursdays.

New 8 degrees offering, zeus black IPA and aztec stout. Both brilliant especially the black IPA, Im a big fan of the style. Waiting in anticipation to see what their imperial stout is going to turn out like, supposed to be getting in next week I think.

They are seriously impressing me with their limited editions
