Few beers for tonight, I've a Kinnegar Rustbucket Rye, nyomnyom and a Hilden Twisted Hop.

I've also got a Wreckless Pale Ale from Redwillow - it says "When you want a big hit of American hops and aroma, but don't want to fall off your seat, this nicely balanced but not over the top pale hits the spot" - seems ok, so looking forward to it.

Got this too, Oakham Ales Inferno, seem to be a blonde. I'm a fan of the style, but probably need to drink it first.

Sitting in ATG having a Thornbridge/Odell Colorado Red from the cask.

It's good but I feel like it actually needs the extra carbonation that kegging gives to help drive the flavours more.

Lovely beer and well worth trying but I'd love to try it from keg or bottle.

Sipping an Anderson Valley Hop Ottin now.

Such a good beer. Even better from the keg than the bottle.

Anyone know of a good off licence near the nango rd/ Naas rd? Wouldn't mind picking a few up while I'm around the area

Carryout in Clondalkin Village probably best bet

It's probably a bit late for you now but Molloys in the village carry a really good range now. They started to stock some really good stuff right around the time I moved out of the area:rolleyes::)

I might do battle with a horned sea-beast before I go to bed. IO versus the Narwhal, round 2.

There is a gulf of difference between Buried At Sea draught vs. Bottle. That's all I can muster from tonight's proceedings...

Uganda-breweries Bell lager is a very bland lager with a hint of sugar.
    Avoid if you can.

Had to have a SN Torpedo to get rid of that horrible Bell Lager.

Pub #1: Shepherd Neame IPA. Very nice. Let an old Guinness drinker sample it and got a great laugh out of his reaction to the bitterness. :D
Pub #2: Fran Well Rebel Red. Always lovely.

I bought one of these in America. I'll be drinking it next Friday. I imagined it might be meh like most rogue beers.

That is a really fantastic beer.

I've a Shepherd Neame Double Stout now. It's too cold, but the quality still shines through. Very tasty.

Was down WJK for dinner and beers. Food delish.

    Clump Sagin, what a beer.

By the end of the night my brother, dad, brother-in-law were all on it. Amazing beer. RyePA is my favourite style now.

Started with Ruthless, had Kinnegar Rustbucket and now this Clump Sagin on tap. Great style.

Lovely. I love the way Rye takes the edge off hops. I reckon I could drink F&F Rye no bother, if it was a thing.:pac:

Also got a Hoppy Christmas. Not bad either.

    Bru Dubh decent stout too.

The amount of people wearing glasses with no prescription lenses, skinny jeans, crap facial hair, pointy toed shoes, crap greasy floppy hair cuts and general tragedies of fashion sense and hygiene were insane.

I was like that before it was mainstream.

Reverse snobbery still in high gear in this thread I see. 10 euro pizza + pint means Im not too bothered about the clothing of the other punters.

Having drank all the Irish & American beers in Redmonds, I picked up a selection of Germans last night. Uninspiring stuff.

I went to Cassidy's twice. Midweek it was cool. Weekend, it was...not.

Boardgames, but no Risk. Tut, tut. ;)

I've played Jenga with a transexual in there.

    Crazy night.

Having had a second try at the einstok baltic porter (i drank the first far too cold-couldn't taste anything), I'm now having their pale ale.

Tis nice; not as hoppy (and I know pale ales aren't exactly hopbombs to begin with), nor as pale, as you'd expect from it

Paulaner Salvator, best of a bad German bunch.

Now drinking Lomza export non-pasteurised from Deveneys, Rathmines recession fridge. Slumming it, ugh.

It was wedged and sauna like down stairs and upstairs was worse.

I'd just rather be comfortable when having a beer.

Maybe it would be worth going back midweek but I'll not go near the place on a friday or saturday again unless it's for something like the event last night.

Had the O'Hara's Barleywine on cask at the Black Sheep Capel St on Friday night, was superb, not usually a fan of Barleywines but this was superbly balanced.
