There is little doubt about the preferred system: stoning by the AH mob without the inconvenience of a trial.

because the guardai don't have any evidence, and their not going to pluck some out of thin air or make up some just to please you

We could get some Raphoe Gaurds down if you want.

Well whats the point of having a justice system that just gives them a slap on the wrist and out in 3 months, to continue what they were doing before they were locked up.

Im going to go with a guess here and say the combined convictions of the 7 arrested will be more than 50 with one of the convictions being a previous house invasion.

    Well done to the Gardai.

Judges aren't always able to hand down the sentences they want, and they aren't all as useless as the ones who make the headlines. I'd also expect someone at the very top tier of their profession to be paid well, but apparently I'm in the minority with that one.

That poor family though, especially those small kids. It's going to take a long time and a lot of patience to get them past that trauma.

Been told its a mixture of the judges and DPP being incompetent

I haven't mentioned travellers anywhere in this thread. Where are you getting your info from that the perpetrators of this crime were or weren't travellers?

The garda swoops came after a seven-strong gang forced their way into a house at Burnchurch, Killenaule, around 3am.
They terrorised a man and his wife their three children, all girls under the age of 8 and demanded cash.
The parents were tied up during their horrific ordeal as members of the gang robbed cash, jewellery and other property from the house.

A huge well done to these Gardaí, heroes of society. Just a shame the judges don't pull their weight. Huge salaries, and what will they do, probably issue a suspended sentence.
Something needs to be done about this type of thuggery, judges need to up their game, and make a severe example of these thugs.

i bet with the judges we have they all get out on suspended sentences after playing the race card

Read somewhere the victims business does business with a traveller gang/traders so they would be a degree of risk

you cant turn people away just because they are travellers. the victims are good people and treat everyone equally. unfortunately this gang see this as an opportunity.

The Irish Times has also reported it, they are considered the newspaper of record in this country.

Do you feel their information is incorrect, if so why, you've avoided this question repeatedly.

Agreed. On a personal level, I'd like to see these particular ones thrown out of Dublin and back to where they came from!

Having read numerous reports from numerous reporters in the Times,Indo, and Examiner I can find one reference by one reporter to a claim that some
of these mindless thugs, may have extended links to travellers.
Not only is that far from convincing it is highly speculative.I have however found persistent and consistent reports that this is a gang of young northsiders mostly from Coolock who have a history of violent crime, obviously I find that more convincing.
Either way I hope the fúkers die screaming, ok.

Actually it states that they are members of an extended traveller family.

There are travellers from Coolock, the terms traveller and young northsiders are not mutually exclusive.

Not one single report has contradicted the Irish Times reporting and they have not printed a correction or removed the article.

EDIT: The Irish times article does not say may as you have in bold above

Bollocks why would print a retraction on what they themselves have couched in the broadest possible terms!
And it does not state that they are members of an extended Traveller family (whatever defuq that means), it states some of them are understood to be.
Again either way I am not defending the bastárds, so I fail to see what your issue is.

    Edit:
    PS From todays Irish Times
    http://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/courts/tipperary-raid-gang-a-key-target-of-special-garda-operation-1.1603321
Not a mention of any Traveller connection.
