5 miles off a motorway isn't very remote.

But they caught them :) thankfully scummers are really dense sh*ts, easy enough to catch the fookers in fairness. Prosecution etc is another story.

    The right to silence.

Any halfway decent professional scumbag will sit in the garda station staring at the wall until thier solicitor arrives.

They will also ask for a doctor to dispense thier Physeptone and senior officer because they wish to make a complaint.

    Brilliant reporting,

the highlight of the news article is this .....

Around 9am today officers intercepted the stolen family car - a Kia Sportage SUV which has a 2.5 litre engine - at Newlands Cross and arrested two other suspects.

at least they have a job, isnt that what counts??

Ive said it here before and ill say it again.
The justice dept is a money spinner for lawyers and other associated interests.
The more repeat criminals, the more they get paid. It really is that simple.

Of course none of these lawyers or associated interests lives in areas of high criminality. So they dont get to see the effect of what they are in essence responsible for these past few years.

Just wait til they privatise the prison service.

Who was it that used to say "put em in a field and bomb the bastards" ?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 3,126 ✭✭✭Santa Cruz

Always found the Garda to be useless and this hated them. Emergency situations and they take their sweet time t come down. Incident on my road involving the neighbours and a young lad with a knife and took them 35 mins to come down and we rang them 3 times.
But this time they done good

And what about the time you were caught doing 31 in a 30 zone?
    Grow up ffs

    Another "travelling" gang involved.

Gardai now understand that criminals from Rathkeale had been buying bedding furniture and goods from the Corcoran business in Burnchurch, Killenaule and reselling it to others in the Midlands and North Tipperary.

During this period, Gardai believe that the County Limerick travelling gang were giving the information of movements, contents and surveillance of the Corcoran’s business to the Dublin gang who carried out the terrifying attack this Thursday.

'travelling' indeed. Where has this gem of a phrase come from all of a sudden? :pac:

Operation "random Irish word" is a success!

That's the entire point of the name! The name needs to be random so that mentioning does not give away its objective.

    Well done to the Gardai.
Absolutely. The people saying they did things wrongly and took too long etc, I hope they get their police force jobs quickly seeing as they're such experts - the country needs them.
Judges aren't always able to hand down the sentences they want, and they aren't all as useless as the ones who make the headlines. I'd also expect someone at the very top tier of their profession to be paid well, but apparently I'm in the minority with that one.
Agreed. It's not the populist, kneejerk view to have though.
My nana lives near Killenaule, I didn't think places like that would get hit, it's not exactly the kind of place people would go to or just be passing through.
Very rural areas are targeted quite often.

Indo comments are the epitome of stupidity. Worse than TheJournal.ie - now that's bottom-of-the-barrel stuff.

Its a perfectly correct term (sez someone's legal experts);)

    .
It is not unknown for some local yob to provide information on soft targets to their Dublin cronies, bigging themselves up in gangland.
Motorways and satnav make it a bit easier to access places that they'd never have found in the past.

On the 9 o'clock news Paul Reynolds mentioned the same thing but added that the family ceased any business dealings with the Rathkeale "business" when they realised what they were up to. It was after this that they got targeted.

Nothing PC about it, these scumbags are from Coolock in Dublin and Travelled persistently throughout the country to raid homes usually in isolated places.

I'd fully support the death penalty for crimes such as this. I can't imagine a world where anyone who participates in something like that and goes on to do anything that could offset the damage to society they've done.

We'd all be better off if they were killed.

If they have children of their own, it's even more tragic - but let's be honest, the children would be better off *without* parents than being raised by the types of people who would commit these crimes.

Something needs to be done about this type of thuggery, judges need to up their game, and make a severe example of these thugs.[/QUOTE]

I absolutly agree, they do need to up their game.

Why would there be, the scumbags have been caught, they were from Coolock and Phibsboro on the northside of Dublin, a long long way from Rathkeale.

A "gang" in Rathkeale aided and abetted or do you think this particular "gang" should be impervious to the law?
