Sorry pal, I didn't realize the word 'mate' offended you. I care for art, I don't care for feminism when it sets out to portray all men as wife beaters and rapists.

And I see you still haven't haven't responded to the real problem, that the teachers were forced to attend the performance.

Let's be honest, lover. You didn't attend the play. You heard about it and decided to get offended about it and as a result, you've condemned an entire nation as being "****ed up". And teachers usually have to atttend plays, if memory serves me well.

Very well said. Freedom of speech is the most vital right we have. It trumps your 'feelings' any day. Some of the loons on here want a tightly regulated society with anything 'offensive' consigned to the memory hole.

A vital right except for women, eh? You are aware that Sweden has a high incidence of sexual assault against women, yes?

Which loons, Dave? Name names, no weasel words.

Mate you seem to continually miss the point. The teachers were forced by their employer to attended a feminist performance piece. She had no connection with the school, she was performing in the town theater. I don't think that's right.

And you think that people on the other side are not critisised by the same zeal by the left? If you declare yourself pro-life on this website its almost being one step away from condoning the murder of healthy women... and so on.

Exactly. Express legitimate concerns about abortion and they employ extremely emotive arguments to make you look like some bible thumping redneck.

Ah, that's a far cry from the entire country being "****ed up", eh sweetheart?

I have read a large amount on the subject, have amassed a very large amount of information on the subject, and my opinion is far more likely to be right than yours.

The overwhelming thrust of post WWII scholarship, over decades, by inummerable individuals, disagrees with your notion. It is risible, laughable, and composed of the kind of factual cherry picking that characterises authors in the 'Occult Hitler' industry.

That just makes you sound like a smug wannabe intellectual.

Well we don't have it (e.g. slander, incitement to hatred) but what we do have in terms of free speech covers the rights of people to express being offended. So you presumably just mean "free speech" that you agree with.
It trumps your 'feelings' any day.
Extremists who abuse free speech, e.g. (I know it's a tired one but a relevant one) the Westboro Baptist Church... nah, I'd have more concern for the feelings (no need for quote-marks) of those on the receiving end of their hatred really.

Women speaking out against sexual assault? Why does that terrify you so much, colonel?

Meh, who cares if he cares about feminism. People disagree with all forms of political theory/ideology. And it is hard to enjoy art that you don't see an enjoyable, or particularly worthwhile.

And the part in bold: Are you hinting he's gay to ridicule or insult him? Who cares if he's attracted to you?

This shows how plenty of people who class themselves as progressives are actually what their complaining about. Eg: Making fun of men who are 'feminine' or 'gay' in videos to try and highlight perceived objectification, or homophobia.

    It's a really weird self-perpetuating act

Am I attracted to him? Well they say opposites attract. Could it work though, a jack booted Nazi thug and a gentle enlightened liberal? It would be like Vernon Schilinger and Michael Moore getting together. One thing is for sure, he'd have to be the bitch, that's not up for debate.

Sounds a bit rapey to me, Dave. Evidently sexual assault in Sweden is a big joke to you after all.

We dont have free speech now in Ireland or the UK mainly due to pseudo liberal types using the state in some Orwellian fashion to try and impliment as well as enforce on us a mindset that it should be illegal to offend someone. There are lots of examples in the UK where people have said distasteful things on twitter but ended up going to jail over it. 1984 alive and well.

Regards to extremists, the supreme court of the United States ruled in favour of the Westboro baptist church and said that
Whether the First Amendment prohibits holding Westboro liable for its speech in this case turns largely on whether that speech is of public or private concern."
And in this specific case, the judges determined, the words on Westboro's signs indeed dealt with "matters of public import" and are thus protected by the First Amendment. Signs like "America Is Doomed" and "Fag Troops" and "Priests Rape Boys," in the court's view, highlight issues like "the political and moral conduct of the United States and its citizens, the fate of our Nation, homosexuality in the military, and scandals involving the Catholic clergy

The court ruled in favour 8-1.

We're sleepwalking into an Orwellian state, only instead of a socialist dictatorship we have the dictatorship of tolerance worshiping at the altar of equality. We already have posters here who come across as the thought police.

Try arguing with some of the radical feminist nut jobs online and see how long before you're censored. It's easy to dismiss these people as cranks with no relevance outside their own circlejerk, but imagine if they ascended into positions of power. Imagine someone who believes in spelling 'herstory' and womyn as the education minister.

Well here's the thing, Dave. Despite me pointing out that there's a high incidence of it in Sweden, you haven't yet acknowledged that. Instead, to you, Sweden is "****ed up" because of a piece of art that some teachers had to attend. Interesting priorities there, Dave.

But your veiled threat to rape me would indicate sexual assault is a bit of a larf for you, eh?

Which feminists nut jobs online put your nose out of joint, Dave?

Why does equality send shivers down your spine?

Which posters, exactly, are like the thought police?

Jesus Christ man I never said anything about rape...I said that for our loving, consensual same-sex relationship to work, you would have to be the receiving partner.

I think I'll leave you alone for awhile, you're almost too easy to wind up.

Guerrilla feminism are a particularly beautiful example. I've even seen them turn on each, over some 'privilege is for white women' or some bullshit. It was glorious.

    Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep
This is a long, long running urban myth that originates in England. The nursery (or creche, I forget what it was exactly) used "rainbow" as well other words to help expand the children's vocabulary and improve diction.

Imagine? They already are in power. All those gender studies graduates have to get a job somewhere, usually at some equality qango funded by the taxpayer
