Ah yes, the old get out of jail card, "cause god said so". Thats a handy answer to avoid logic there Patches. Dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge the question and if all else fails, well its the word of god, init?

JC. This "God" of yours, is he the true one and only god? What about the hundreds (thousands?) of other gods out there that millions of people believe in?

no one has actually answered my original question.

How did the information get into the original strands of DNA.

Also "Genetic algorithms" as you call them do not create their own software to run on.

The simple fact is no one knows for sure (as far as I know), there are several theories on it, but I doubt you're interested in any other theories outside of your own.

Well, it's looking very likely now that before DNA based life, we had RNA based life: http://phys.org/news/2013-11-rna-splicing-gene-evidence-world.html

This is the molecular biology equivalent of finding a transitional fossil, only we can see it at work here and now. Of course, mention transitional fossils around a creationist and you're in for an entertaining display of their ignorance on a whole other subject.

Do you still believe that god created AIDS?

Just to clarify my own question...

As we all know,it was widely believed by theists that AIDS was the ultimate punishment from god on homosexuals-most religious leaders were even rejoicing because of this.

Now that we all know that this disease can kill ANYBODY-and still does,do religious believers still believe that this is a plague sent by their god as some sort of curse or punishment??

Stop thinking in terms of creationist rubbish like "information". Evolution creates organisms that are better and better adapted to surviving to recreate. What on earth are you talking about? What "uniformity"?

From your repetition of useless and stupid creationist talking-points, you sound like you've spent (read "wasted") time and money on creationist literature and propaganda on biology, and haven't bothered studying actual biologists on actual biology. Can you confirm?

This thread: The Origin of specious Nonsense. In it J C goes on and on and on, and posters like myself, oldrnwisr, sponsoredwalk, robindch and many more show him why he's utterly and hopelessly wrong. You should read it some time, there's a huge wealth of information in there. None of it, predictably, comes from J C.

And more specifically, posts like this one,, where someone like oldrnwisr shows J C up to be clueless, or deliberately avoiding the truth, or worse. There are many posts like that in the thread. Each one causes J C to shut up for a little while, go into hiding, and then come back with the same old bullsh*t we'd torn apart weeks or months ago like if he just keeps posting it, it might end up becoming true.

Other interesting things from that thread:

    - dead one, the Muslim creationist. That boy was insane.
    - An amusing set of J C memes, including captions such as "Ignore evidence. Claim victory."
    - Letting J C spout his insane claptrap and then showing him why he's wrong is, according to J C, pretty much Nazism.

Yes it can. It accounts for just about everything one sees in organic life, up to and including intelligence. You should read up on it, it's fascinating stuff.

Well that'd be because nature is far from uniform. Again, you should read up on it. It really is very interesting stuff.

Really - if nature is far from uniform then how does science work?

Definition: The principle of the uniformity of nature is used to justify both inductive reason generally and scientific research in particular. It can be understood as simply arguing that "the future will look like the past." Thus, however nature has acted in the past is pretty much how we can expect it to act in the future.

Science relies heavily upon this premise of uniformity because, without it, it would not be possible to infer from past events what we can expect to happen in the future. Scientific prediction and scientific theorizing would simply not be possible without uniformity.

More generally, induction itself relies upon uniformity because that is what allows us to take particular cases and infer from them general rules and principles. However, if induction relies upon the uniformity of nature, then the uniformity of nature cannot itself rely upon inductive reasoning.

Just goes to show the pure ignorance and hypocrisies of all the so-called theories.

Of course the god-squad had their own explanations and still claim that they do.

Oh, you mean nature as in 'the entirety of reality' and not 'living things'. Yeah, reality is pretty consistent. At least, it is now that things have settled down after all that furore at the big bang event. Living things don't seem to be breaking any of the rules as we understand them*. Not entirely sure where you're going with this. Water is wet and fire is hot, in related news.

*Now J C is probably going to blather on about thermodynamics as if he knows anything at all about even basic physics. If he does, watch carefully. You'll see him make several important mistakes and omissions that someone else will have to fill in and thus demonstrate why he's wrong. J C will likely ignore it and repeat his false claims, and as we all know making a claim that you know to be false is lying...

God is indescribable, I encountered God when my spirit left my body for a few minutes.

He came to me surrounded by an armada of angels. I could not look at his being as there was a thick cloud between him and I. I say thick cloud but it was not in fact a cloud it was just like a thick cloud.

The reason for the cloud was because if I looked on God I would die instantly.

I asked him hundreds of questions and he dismissed them all as folly. Man made nonsense that has no meaning at all. The only thing that matters in life is that I follow him through his Son Jesus and stay on the Good side of life.

He told me not to leave my body again or I could die and he told me blessed are those who believe without seeing.

I insisted on him answering some of my questions and his answers that he gave me can actually be found in the Book of Job in the bible.

I had not read the book at the time on my encounter.

In fact God answers anyone who questions his morality or his reasons for doing things through the book book of Job.

    Wow.....just........WOW!

Why is god indescribable? Why would you die if you looked at him. I got REALLY drunk one night and had a conversation with a cat. Does this mean cat's can talk?

I can describe him as absolute authority. Like a child would view his father only way more intense.
    bumper234 wrote: »

Because I was not saved, and God cannot look upon someone with sin.

I wasn't drunk and I have never taken drugs.

However I'm sure if a cat evolves enough you might eventually be able to have that conversation again.
