    In order:

1999 Daewoo Lanos (my first car and I hated it until I traded it in, missed it afterwards for some reason)
1997 Peugeot 106 GTi (had this at the same time as the Lanos and it was a laugh, I sold it after 3 months)
2004 Fiat Punto Automatic (pup of a gearbox cost me €2000 in repairs a month after the warranty ran out, was written off by a hit and run driver in 2007)
2007 Suzuki Swift GLX (great car and the first one I bought new, sold it to my brother in law and he loves it)
2004 Volvo S60 (fast and comfy, bit heavy on juice but I only do about 14000kms per year so it doesn't actually cost much)
1994 Suzuki Cappuccino (occasional/weekend fun car, it is amazing how this thing gets around with just 657cc and a turbo. Such a hoot to drive)

    88 Diahatsu Charade
    99 Opel Vectra
    03 Mondeo mk3
    06 VW Passat
    09 Mondeo Estate Mk4
    13 Peugeot 508sw

All new cars except the Charade. My car list just screams David Brent

I’ve moved around a bit & owned cars in different places so I’ll mark what country for the groups

    Ireland (1993-1996)
1988 Diahatsu Charade, this was my dad’s car when I got my license & I got it from him.. I have fond memories for this little 3 cylinder beasty
1990 Civic 1.6i Jap import, traded the Charade for this, only had it 36 hours & my brother crashed it writing it off, looking back we suspect the car had a major issue & he paid me promptly.. so a top Bro
1988 Civic 1.5 Dual Carb Jap import, bought this 2 days after buying the 1.6i… LOVED this car, the twin Webber Carbs made the best noise & it went a lot faster than the 1.6i did, left it with my Brother when I went to NZ

    NZ (1996–1998)
1989 Celica GT4 Narrow Bodied Jap import, was a great little car.. was too heavy for the power it had but was bulletproof
1991 Celica GT4 Group A wide bodied version NZ delivered, traded the other GT4 for this one.. it had a lot of upgrades & was quiet quick for it weight (shipped this one to Aus with me)

    Aus (1998-2010)
1990 Landrover Discovery 3.5 V8 LPG converted, I loved this car, it did heaps of towing for me & a lot of serious off-roading.. I sadly rolled it in early 2000
1975 XB Falcon Coupe GS Spec, Bought this with the mad idea of making a Mad Max Interceptor replica out of it, had all the parts needed at one point.. I have since grown up & am building it into a tuff street car now
1975 XB Falcon Coupe 500 Spec, Bought this at the same time as the GS as a parts car for the GS.. it’s now worth twice what I paid for the GS!! Think I will make a track car from it one day
1997 Landrover Discovery 3.9 V8, Traded the GT4 in on this (the new owner wrote it off within a week, sad).. Loved it even more than the 3.5… gave me the best part of 200k’s of trouble free motoring over 9 years
1967 GTA Mustang Coupe, sadly didn’t have this one long… EX-Wife got it in the end.. still better that than she getting one of the XB’s
1968 Ford XT Ute, this was a mad project that I bought & sold & bought back & finally sold again.. it had a 7.5ltr V8 & with no weight in the back it was only good for turning tires into smoke.. wish I’d kept it now..
2003 RangeRover HSE 4.4 V8, Traded the Disco in on this, Only had this for a year before I moved back to Ireland.. loved the comfort & the effortless power delivery of the V8, sold it to a good mate

    Ireland (2010-2012)
2004 Chrysler Crossfire, bought this off my brother when I got back to Ireland… lovely car, I didn’t own it long as sadly it just wasn’t practical & the Irish tax system prevented it from being finically possible to keep it & my next purchase
2005 Range Rover Sport 4.2 Supercharged V8, traded the Crossfire in on this… this is by far my fave of the 4 LR/RR cars I’ve owned.. the whine of the Supercharger, the big brembo brakes & the Vesuvius Orange colour over off-white leather interior…. I hope to never have to sell this one
1972 Dodge Challenger, bought this as I was missing my XB’s a lot & the classic tax system made it very easy to justify

I’m back in Aus now & the garage has the following:

    The 2 x XB Coupes
    The Challenger
    The SC RR Sport

91 1 litre Fiesta "Touch" car/van. All the skirts and grunts, looked "good" but seen faster wheel barrows! :D
    98 Renault Megane HB - 1.4 petrol
01 Ford Focus 1.6 3dr- lovely car, bought it off a lad who won it in a credit union draw. Bought the prize off him and then ordered the car.
    http://www.adverts.ie/car/cars/other-cars/01-ford-focus-zetec-1-6-3-dr/532

2003 Audi A4 - 1.9 TDI - loved this car, had every extra you could find on them, got hit at 80mph side on and still walked away (though current health issues prove I didn't escape fully)

2005 Mazda 6 MPS - 2.3 petrol - Lovely car, great bit of fun but a dog on fuel so had to be given road.
    http://www.adverts.ie/car/cars/other-cars/mazda-6-mps/236354

2006 Mondeo ST - 2.2 TDCI - Bought in Bristol, loved them for a long time. Put a lot of miles on it, great car, a few shocks, replaced the EGR valve myself but outside of that it was a great drive.
    http://www.adverts.ie/car/ford/mondeo/2006-ford-mondeo-st-tdci-for-sale/3214951

2013 Octavia VRS - 2.0 diesel - Never considered them but got the 0% interest so couldn't ignore it.

1998 Peugot 106, never gave a days bother, although as a provisional license holder, I paid €4890 for my first year insurance!

1998 VW caddye, first van when I became self employed, served me well

2000 Ford Transit, gave nothing but bother!

2003 Ford Transit, first brand new vehicle, great van, far better than the newer ones.

2001 Peugot 206, girlfriend and I had a boy, and she didn't like the baby seat in the transit image!

2006 Ford Transit, again brand new, but as it was one of the first new type, it had a lot of small problems from the start.

2001 BMW 330d coupe, loved this car, but bought it on impulse after me and the mrs split up :(

2005 Ford Focus, so after a break of one year, we're back together and it's back to the sensible car!

2007 Renault Grand Scenic, present car, absolutely hate it!! But love what it represents, a wife and three great kids.

    (Insert mid-life crisis convertible/sportscar here! )

I like to think I've had a pretty impressive car collection considering I'm only 29.

It's pretty big as I've almost always had two cars at once and tend to not stay in anything longer than a year, a few have only lasted a few months and one I only had for as long as it took the log book to be sent to me.

2000 Alfa 156 1.8ts, loved it, thought I was the bees knees with the bodykit and whale fin spoiler. It died after a few months.

1995 Toyota Corolla 1.3, 3 speed auto. Lunatic of a car with a tiny little turbo added in by the previous owner.

2001 Toyota Corolla 1.4 liftback. Yawn....
1995 Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 2.5TT, I'll never forget that car. Robbed on me after 4 weeks and written off.

2003 Audi A3 1.6, grand got me to work and looked nice.

2003 Merc E270 petrol auto, company car that was taken off me after 3 months.

2004 Ford Focus 1.6 replacement company car:-(

1992 Honda prelude 2.2 twin cam, this I only owned till I got the log book from Shannon and sold to a neighbour for a hefty profit as he fell madly in love with it.

1996 Mitsubishi FTO 2 non mivec, over all great car had the looks, handling and speed and was economic.

1998 Mitsubishi Colt 1.3 boring bottom spec car that I was given.

2000 Freelander 1.8 had no power whatsoever.

2001 Ford Puma 1.7 Plenty of power for a very light car.

1997 Mitsubishi legnum VR4 2.5TT another one I loved it so much.

2001 Ford Focus 1.6 In between car that I got cheap.

1995 BMW 323 2.5 Loved the responsiveness out of it so I went and bought my next car 3 months later

    1999 BMW 328 loved it

1997 BMW M3 evo loved it even more, very stable at speed and....ahhemmm....going sideways

1999 Mercedes CLK 200 Comfortable but quite underpowered.

I know I'm missing at least two or three in there, nothing of notable worth.
There was a 1997 Toyota Celica 2litre but I only had it a couple months and I can't remember where it fits in.
Same goes for a 2006 Audi A4 1.8t I had use of for about 6 months, I didn't own it but it was technically mine for that period.
I had a Toyota MR2 early on as well but again didn't own it long and I can't remember where it fits in or what year it was.

I know that feeling of missing cars. I don't even list the stuff I've bought as breakers. And there's always the odd one, that one forgets. Actually looking back at my list, there's 2 important ones missing and on one I got the year wrong.

What's interesting though is, that some people always stick to the same or in around the same type/brand of cars. And then there's the few that want a bit diversity.

    /M

2000 - 1.4 petrol Opel Astra 4 Door Saloon bought new - solid car but bit boring, almost bought a 1.4 petrol golf but the dealer wouldnt give me 150 off the asking price..
2002 - 1.4 petrol saloon Honda Civic Saloon bought from new - added 18 spoke alloys and some nice sports trim inside - lovely car - only changed cause it didnt have air conditioning!
2005 - 1.4 SE petrol Honda Civic 5 door bought from new.. served us well - great family sized car for 2 + 2 only downside was a bit heavy on pretrol
2013 - bought 2009 Honda Accord 2.2 idetc Exec spec... wow love it! Its not the most frugal when it comes to fuel consumption but the toys and spec are the nuts.. and i love thats its not as a common as say Audi or Skoda on the road.. The engine is a major step up in power from a 1.4 petrol (obviously)

Thats it till now, hopefully will keep the Accord for at least 2 to 3 maybe even 4 years.. it only has 58 thousand kilometres on it, so only really broken in..

Got my eyes on a few more potential purchases in the nearish future. If I had the cash, I would have an 850 CSi in the drive in the morning!

The Sierra would explain why you need a wider parking space :-p
