    I like to be left the hell alone on my birthday.
    Three family members died on my birthday (2 grandparents) and 2 were buried on my birthday.

    'tis not a happy time generally :(

    But 'tis hard to explain to little kids and they get very excited about daddies birthday.
    That helps a lot :)

    I'm an example of the opposite - I am the Birthday Paradox: born on my mother's birthday, since then a cousin, second cousin and daughters of two cousins were also born on that day from the 70's to this decade..

    I drank my way through my 30th birthday. We went to the Hilton cocktail bar and drank our way through the cocktail menu. I fell down the stairs on the way to the toilet and burned a hole in the duvet with a lit ciggy when we got home. Ahh those were the days, I was thin and lived on nicotine and caffeine. Now I drink decaff and don't smoke, not thin anymore either:( Pass the chocolate someone.

    Ugh I hate my birthdays, try not to let people know when it is because they'll insist I "have to" do something. I don't like parties! I'm not that mad about people! I don't like attention and pressure! I don't "have to" do anyfeckingthing. I hate going out for halloween, christmas and paddy's as well (lads, I'm mad craic is what I'm getting at)

    Plus if I ever get to the point where I want to lie about my age I have a lot of the groundwork laid, never had an 18th or 21st and I'm sure as shít not doing anything for the 25th next year

    I turned 30 couple weeks ago spent my birthday weekend waiting for my OH surprise. Still waiting:-( just got a peck on the cheek and a happy birthday the morning of my birthday. All I wanted was a card and maybe breakfast in bed wud be nice....is tat asking too much???

    I'm 40 next month. Will go to work, finish about 8:30. Home around 9ish. Bite to eat. Fart about till bedtime. Usual Thursday.

    Turned 25 two and a half weeks ago, spent the day cooking a vegetarian meal for my family and my girlfriend who came down to visit, sort of a long distance relationship. Spent the evening watching movies eating lots of junk food, cake....then cheesecake the girlfriend made me. Then went to a Halloween fancy dress party with her and my friends the next night, won a bottle of wine for my costume, went as "The Mask"

    Best Birthday I had since my 18th for sure.
