Am I right in thinking that this is the modern version of the original G-Shock? Regardless of that, €45 delivered for a 'proper' G-Shock seems like great value. Seller is based in the states so you may/may not be caught for customs. I've ordered twice from him and haven't paid anything extra yet.

Just ordered, have been itching for a new watch, and a classic G fits the bill! I'll post up here when I get it!

I know it's very cheap, so it may not be fair to be too critical, but I've always found the cheaper casio bracelet watches to be quite poor. Mostly due to the bracelet itself. You get what you pay for, but for me it's a deal breaker. I much prefer the resin straps on these kind of watches.

The cheaper Casio bracelets used to be ok. But my most recent one had a very sharp unfinished feel. I swapped it out for an older bracelet, which is much better finished.

I'm of the same opinion. Just worth noting. Nothing wrong with cheap casios, but the straps leave a lot to be desired.

That particular watch is interesting, in that, seemingly, the strap is actual metal, people are having issues with the watch body itself, painted resin of some sort. The lugs get scratched trying to change the bracelet out.

Just to add, there's an 'Asian' variant of this, the Casio AE-1200WH-1BVEF with gold fascia and a coloured world map. (green)

    I'm in love..

Russian review shows off the slight yellow gold tint of the fascia.

All the plastic variants of this module have dropped to below $20 Retail in the US. Shop around..

I was In a jewelers today looking at those ae1200 watches and the price gap was enormous. €69.95 V €20 odd online. Even the Argos are half the price at €34.99 versus the jewelers inflated price.

These watches also look very similar to the Seiko watch in the Bond movie Octopussy.

No idea, I'm wondering would it be the same as my Casio F91W alarm. Check on YouTube for a review on it.

Not really a watch aficionado, but I just picked this up for a tenner.

Not too shabby, for the price. Above €20 just about everywhere else, typically.

Cheaper than the last time I posted this. I know some people are into their basic Casios.
