I've have to agree with the battery life. I've also notice better resolution with colours. This is easy to see when you bring down the drop down menu.

Can anyone recommend the cheapest place I can get an Artic Blue Galaxy S4 at the moment?

You can pick up the other colours on Amazon for €450 before postage, but I'm having trouble finding an Artic Blue for a similar price.

Would like to buy from a somewhat reputable seller in the EU.

The S4 Play edition has a different way of seeing the Micro-SD card , this might be the case with S4 Samsung 4.3 update. However you might want to look at the card first if it belonged to another phone at some point as they do wear out.
Other than that connect it to Kies do a full back up and wipe the phone.

It's mad, since the upgrade;

Bluetooth not working properly. It takes about 5 - 6 attempts at pairing before the phone links with my sat nav, and then it never automatically resyncs when I leave and get back into the car
Poweramp - regular stutters or skips when playing music
Freezing - unlocking the screen regularly causes the phone to freeze for 2 seconds or so. The same thing happens with the notifications window or when I'm in settings. The power button is still responsive while this happens which is really weird
Flipboard freezes and then crashes

I'm quite annoyed at how poorly my phone is performing since the upgrade. I really don't want to do a factory reset either so I'll wait a while and see if another update or hotfix is released in the next while.

does Jambo have a U.S. S4?

I couldn't see if he had in the last few pages.

My phone is acting up as well since the update.

1. When using the phone for internet games, the clock doesnt refresh it just stays at the time you unlocked the screen at, you have to lock and open it again to get the time.

2. Cant connect to laptop.

3. Everytime connecting to wi-fi I get the KNOX message about an app trying to access my phone. Wont say which it is.

4. Downloading files over wi-fi are all courrpt, and I have to use my data if I need to download a file now.

5. Plus I think the battery is actually worse as well.

6. When I am unlocking the phone with pattern code it now freezes and I have to wait a few seconds for it to respond so I can unlock it.

Since update.
Noticed that some of my apps are not showing up now, saying they are not installed.
Definitely think the battery life has significantly decreased.
Bit depressed that I won't be due an upgrade till 2015.

My battery is definitely much worse. I'd usually end the day around 20% or more, now it's needing to be charged before I hit the hay. Also, when I get a new text message, the icon indicates there's a new message even after I've read it. Aaannnd, I can't go in and manually run an updates check - nothing happens when I choose the option.

I just checked and S Health is using 18% of my battery. I also can't launch it - it just causes Android to freeze for about 30 seconds, so I think this could be something to do with the battery drain and performance. Can anyone else check this?

I've been having issues with battery power loss on s4. Tried all recommended solutions but still eating power as you watch it. Drains for no reason, even when not in use. Checked online, and see that Samsung recognise the problem and if you bring phone to service centre, they will replace the battery. Has anyone else been there or done that?

No link, but I got red mhl to hdmi cable from Amazon for about 15 euro. Unlike the official Samsung one, it charges the phone while TV out is being used. I have both the official and the third party one. Third party one is much handier as the hdmi is already built in and it charges the phone.

Grand for movies, useless for games though as there is a delay between what's shown on the phone and the TV screen.

I've been playing around with my phone trying to replicate some of the problems you're all experiencing. Nothing so far, but if I come across anything I'll report back.

If you are experiencing issues I'd recommend a factory reset. Unlike the disastrous s3 update, the issues you seem to be experiencing do not seem to be systemic.

If your music is on an external sd card it'll be fine. A factory reset doesn't usually erase what's on the internal sd, but it might.

Either way it's akin to reinstalling Windows on top of another installation, rather than from fresh. You might carry over the problems you're trying to eradicate. Better back up what you need and erase everything.

Just got me a free S4 white but never realised no FM radio on it Bummer:rolleyes: I know about all the apps for Internet radio but rather have it on the phone pity you cannot port the S3 radio..

Anywho the Jailbreak and fun begins. Was on Wanamlite Rom on the S3 and wondering whats the best for S4, saving me time trolling though all the posts here:o

Any recommendations? Also is the only way of rooting phone via Odin and a developers rom?

The S4 doesn't have the hardware capable of radio so even if you could port it you'd still get no sound.

Apparently the XDA crowd have done it. Not sure on Irish builds of the phone
Bit of a CM fan tbo , but use PAC-Man on my old "bullet proof" DHD

Turns out my camera issue is a faulty Micro SD card (San Disk Ultra) that just decided to present itself at the same time as the update.

AFAIK That is with the 4.4 Kitkat update, I assume you have just gotten the 4.3 update ?

You can sideload the app (Link) which I have done but I still seem to be getting som texts in both messaging and hangouts, where as others it hangouts only.

Well if you read through the thread you will see that the new update includes a feature to **** up your phone

Im holding out till custom roms get their whole KNOX mess fixed

FYI - KNOX is only a link after the update. It's there in the app drawer. You will still need to open the link and then download it. You can choose to ignore it if you dont want to use. When you click on the icon it gives tou option to install. I havent downloaded it. No problem so far. Also all my widgets etc are there. So I am ok with it at the moment until I discover something that **** my phone
