i see the story didnt change from a few weeks ago, are you happy on how you got on?

was happy with most of them €500+ with weight

ended up giving two away and regretted it after

seen a 285kg plain CH bull calf going into €890 euro

    a AAX bull @ 350kg sold at €750

    Sim X bull @ 280kg not sold at €590

    some difference,

Thank FCUK i changed to CH, now wait for the arse to fall out of CH next year:D

So were you not happy with the prices you got hugo for your BB's, or do you reckon you would have faired the same or better with the same weight CH bulls?

from what i seen muckit, if mine were CH then i would have gotten approx €150 to €200 euro more per head

Feck! I suppose more competition for the CH as they suit the farmer as well as the exporter.

Sure it's hard to know sometimes when you are doing the right thing. And sure a lad could be doing the right thing at the time, but come time to sell tis something else that is in fashion. You'd want to have a crystal ball sometimes!!

hard to get it right but i think for the part time suckler the CH is the way to go, as you said suits everyone

also does not help when you see 3 dealers at your pin deciding which calf each one is taking, felt like bringing them home there and then

Never say never and all that, but can't see it happening. Say what you like, but they take some beating as an alrounder. They have great frame, carry great weight and thrive unreal if managed right.

Just called into the new driver licence center in skibb, its in the mart building. The disappointment of tge staff in there not really knowing what they are doing and there systemsand phone lines being ****ed was offset but the majority of people in there complaining about the smell and "why the center was in with the smelly farmers".
    How I laughed :-D

    Greetings from abroad!

I found my way over to the Cairngorms National park. Tough landscape. I wouldn't like to be carrying fodder to 800kg cows!
Did manage to see plenty of Red Deer and a couple of Golden Eagles and plenty of Grouse. So happy days.

They can be abit lazy and doopy at first alright, Particularly big lads. But put a little work into them and you'll be happy come mart day. You Simply cannot beat the Charolais. Allot easier to finish and at a higher weight.
