If the teen is 17 now, and it began in January '12, he was likely 15 years of age. By it's very definition, that would is rape consent is 18 in Utah.

And how do you know she wasn't threatening, blackmailing to fail him and such if he didn't?

Where were all the 'niiicceeee, niicccceee!' jokes for some of the celebs coming out where the girls were 15, 16, 17 years of age (as opposed to younger kids)?

Apologies, didn't realise he was 15 when it started.

I still doubt she was forcing him though in all honesty.

No having a go at you here in particular or anything, but it always amazed me how many presuppose innocence to women in cases like this while jumping to a guilty headline with men before even finishing the headline.

This guy strikes me as probably being a decent looking fella. It all started off consentually and after he and the student had been sending 'dirty' photos to each other on their phones The Good Old Daily Mail says "He began taking her to a room at the school, where he physically abused her. He began to touch her all round and began to kiss her on the mouth.'

Yet with the woman here, The Good Old Daily Mail states: "The 17-year-old boy admitted to investigators on Monday that he had had sex with Altice at least seven times between January of 2012 and October of 2013, according to a Davis County Jail report."

Both the male teacher and this Altice woman are as guilty as each other, at the very least. The girl in the other situation did say that it had been consensual and while she was scared once things like sex began she made a point to never show as much. But by default for whatever reason, he is seen as a far bigger monster in the whole situation having 'physically abused' the girl while in the Altice case here, it was actually the teenage boy who "had sex with her".

That double standard in the use of language is huge in things like this in my opinion, and really does wind me up.
