If you do another one in the new year I would love to sign up for this!

Have done a few experiments with little girly weights at home but would love to build up the confidence to lift properly in the gym.

A Saturday afternoon for pref, I always have dance rehearsals on Sunday afternoons.

Best of luck with the first one!! :)

Thank goodness they are quoting them saying it doesn't put on bulk!
I still have to listen to someone tell me "oh it's only very light weights for toning duh otherwise you bulk up"
Trying to explain that that's saying if you jog for 10 mins you'll accidentally turn into an olympic long distance runner isn't working :pac:

I've noticed more articles like this in recent months. Encouraging.

I hate to admit it...but all my excitement about the workshop keeps tiring me out!! :D:D:D

Only a week and a bit to wait!!

And Yes, Alex Craig is a deadly lifter, the write up was great! Delighted for her.

    Wahooooo!!!!!

We are all set for our first Ladies Lifting Workshop to take place this weekend. Both myself and Hanley have spent a lot of time organising and preparing for the event and we really hope that ye will enjoy the day and hopefully learn a lot too :):)

Unfortunately, one of the girls who had booked a place on the Saturday workshop is now injured and unable to attend. I PMd the first girl on the waiting list and as I have heard no reply from her yet I am going to open it up to the first person to respond to me by PM.

Please don't be disappointed if you do not get the final spot on the Saturday workshop as we currently have 16 girls on a waiting list....so a future workshop is looking very likely;)

Looking forward to seeing you all there and getting a bit of lifting done :)

I have a medical appointment in Newbridge every three months, and get a text to remind me, and it was today :( Rushing back I got stuck in traffic so no chance to make it today.

I hope to make a future one, and thanks to you guys for organising.

Also sorry I only knew about my appt yesterday due to text :(

Just want to thank-you for organising such a terrific session, it was way more than I ever expected. Great info and if anyone gets a chance to go again dont even think about it - it was a brilliant day.

It was a pleasure to meet everyone, Hanly and gymfreak in particular. It was especially great just to be in the presence of lots of other like minded ladies.

Thanks again guys had a brilliant time and learned loads

Absolutely delighted by the feedback that we are getting and really chuffed with how the sessions went!

    A lot of potential there!!!

And just something I forgot to say at the weekend... It might be an idea for ye to start up a training log in the logs section. Both myself and Hanley have logs there (mine hasnt been updated lately :/ )and we would be able to keep an eye on your training and or give you some feedback :)

Thanks gymfreak and Hanley - I really appreciated the workshop, I learnt loads.

I'd certainly go to another, if there was a more advanced one at a later date.

Delighted to announce that the date for the next Ladies Lifting Workshop has been decided upon. It will take place on Sunday the 1st of December from 12-3pm in Revolution Fitness. I'll be sending out PMs with details to all that expressed an interest in attending one of our workshops.

If you haven't let me know via PM or this thread of your interest, please do so as we only have 10 places available for the workshop....and they were filled quite quickly last time!

Looking forward to meeting our next bunch of ladies :)
