Yeah? Places in the UK like where? I was looking on a US site which would incur large import taxes.

Wonder would they let me tax them privately? Otherwise they would have to be over 30 years to get vintage tax
No hope in hell Im paying the 4 k tax!

I'm on the phone so you'll have to google it yourself but there definitely are. Also, as I told you, go for vintage as classic tax, test exempt if pre-80 and can be driven on a car licence once fifth wheel removed.

I know a few lads with American Trucks and can put you in contact with someone if necessary.

Try americanautocentre.co.uk. They sell lots of American imports of all sorts. They may have what you are looking for.

Going to view that GMC I linked earlier (the irish one) at the weekend, it is priced right and comes taxed and DOE'd
I think if it checks out I will buy it, less hassle than importing (especially from Jersey with potential duty and vat)

Nice truck that. Wouldn't be mad on the colour but it's very fresh looking.

The aim (don't all shoot me at once) is to color the truck matte black so the initial color would not really bother me.

Interior is nice, the truck sounds well maintained as the guy is a us car enthusiast. Gut instinct is telling me to go for it, so unless something major is wrong I could be driving it home on saturday!

Mates lower ball joint broke on his van. Had this kind of thing going on, only with the top of the wheel in and the bottom out.

Scary biscuits. Could have been worse though, the drive shaft had a good go at the gear box casing. Feckin shíty roads again.

It was worse and an actual pic. We're taking the gearbox out at the weekend. The shaft pinched and seized the bearing that the drive shaft run on coming out of the box. Either going to fit a scrappy box or get the bearing fitted somewhere.

Would look nice n' mean in black (not sure about the matte) with red striping down the sides. If the paint is as good as it looks it would be a shame to lose it though.

I wouldn't be doing it right away, but the plan always was to have a chrome and matte black look. The reason I like the truck is because the grill is massive and the red logo would look cool along with some red striping through the black.

It is a fine line between tasteful and obnoxious, and I want to be in the obnoxious zone but not look stupid!

The GMC will be a lot easier to live with than a raised truck. ;)

I love getting out of Ireland for a period. I get to see some great cars on the roads being driven. Today has included MGB's at over motorway speeds with the roof down, 2 Ferraris, an Ariel Atom and countless RenaultSpurt models.

If only I was bothered taking pictures!

That would be one of my bucket list cars, a v8 ariel atom. I don't think I have ever seen one in ireland. "Whats de taaaax of daaat" comes to mind

I've actually seen it a couple of times. It's driving around Aberdeen. It's such an odd place as there is a huge amount of money here. Most RangeRovers seem to be the supercharged V8's. They sound lovely.

The warm* sunny shores of Aberdeen in Scotland. The oil capital of the UK. I can't wait until I'm visiting Rossport in Mayo to see all the nice cars there whenever the oil is landed :pac:

It's a pity there is so few Renault sport here there all dci standard cars. I love the megane rs 250/or the older 225 and also the Clio 197 specially in the blue it comes in. I'm determined I will have a 197 as my first petrol car I think ill just skip over all them 1.4 focuses and golfs :D there's so many 197s in the uk compared to here.

I passed my bus test today In the coach so I can drive everything now. I was a bit worried this morning as I had no lessons taken due to a hectic work schedule and could only have two hours training this morning.
