I'm using their products regularly now :D

I've even coated my shoes in the I1 because if water gets on them it just beads straight off again. Very handy for when washing the car.

Next thing you'll be coating your cereal bowls in it to see the milk beading.... Or that pint glass to get every drop..... Or the toilet bowl for a non stick non streak finish :pac:

    My point exactly!

TP - I'm telling the truth! It's designed mainly for liquid spills in a car. Whatever the liquid is, it will bead up so you can mop it up and still have 100% dry carpet instead of soaking into the carpet and possibly causing a smell.

Is this the stuff MM? Is it good stuff? How long does it last etc?

You only have to wash them once a month. All the stains just slide off :pac:

    Ok, found the ideal truck
    http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C396613

sent the guy an email. Only bad part I can see is that it is in Jersey meaning that coming back will be difficult (2 ferries) but other than that...

Perfect. It is the only petrol I would consider.

    -in budget
    -8.0 V10
-Already LPG'd (not needed, but good to have)
    -Body looks immaculate
    -lots of history

(Would be tempted to sell the bmw and keep this as a daily....)
I only skimmed the thread after your post, so this may have been said already...

Afaik, importing from Channel Islands will mean duty, then VAT as well as VRT.

I got sick of having wet feet last winter so I got an old lump if skate wax from under my bed, rubbed it on them, melt in with a hair drier and repeat around 3 times. A bit cheaper I'd say. ;)

I only ever bought Powell because it was like €1 for a good block. :D
Bit cheaper than Autoglym HD but I don't think I'd rub it on my car. :p

Rich cultchie! Sure half the time we'd "borrow" candles and melt those onto ledges with a lighter and a can of lynx.
    Ah, my misspent youth. :p

Even if the vehicle was previously registered in the UK?

I want it, I sent an email to the wilsons guys.
As always it comes down to the dollar. If they want something like 12k then no. If it is 7 or below then yes, inbetween is a grey area.

    I reckon you won't see a car behind you unless it's a good 20ft back :)

It will command a fair bit of money I would reckon!

I have a video from yesterday in editing, I'll throw it up in the youtube section if anyone wants a gawk :)

The f650 linked by DGT is sold, just confirmed with wilsons

    Ah..:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,193 ✭✭✭Cleveland Hot Pocket

So, in the light of the f650 being sold (which I was surprised at tbh)
    I've moved on to this
Sent an email to the seller so lets see, I think this is more easily accessible than Jersey.

Fugly? No, imo. Obnoxious? Very, but fugly - no.
Unless of course you are not into trucks in which case all of them will be ugly anyway!

She's no 650 but I would have needed a feckin artic license or something to drive that 650 haha

Actually what licence have you man or how are you getting around the 3.5 tonne limit? Is there something I'm missing :)

Like that truck is 7 tonne!

    The f650 would have needed a C license which I don't have.
For other ones, they are below 3.5 tonnes unladen, so, when importing I will get the GVWR reduced to 3.499 tonnes. Im not using it commercially so I have no use for the high payload

short team plan(ie in the next few days) is to get my provisional C license and take it from there.

I've got my eyes on some bigger metal for once I get the c license thanks to a certain japscrap fanboy on here who will remain nameless :D:P

There's a couple places in the UK import big rigs. They come up for sale here too occasionally.

Yeah? Places in the UK like where? I was looking on a US site which would incur large import taxes.

Wonder would they let me tax them privately? Otherwise they would have to be over 30 years to get vintage tax
No hope in hell Im paying the 4 k tax!
