I went back and cranked up MW3 last night in advance of Ghosts. Still was a hoot running around Parish with a shotty. There's BS like DeadMansHand, but overall it was a fun game imho.

I'm looking forward to Ghosts as tend to prefer IW games to 3arc ones. Both have BS, both are good, but tend to find the IW more exciting or fun for some reason.

Yup, when I modded this forum it was extremely difficult to keep up with all of the threads and posts in the six months prior to a release. The place was manic. It's practically silent now compared to then!

Not me

I didn't buy BLOPSII, despite BLOPS being my favourite COD since COD4 and I won't be buying Ghosts either.

In the past few months I've booted up COD4 and BLOPS and really had some good fun. Loaded up MW2 and MW3 briefly and then remembered why I hated them so much. I'll wait and think long and hard about whether I'll even bother with Ghosts.

I think its going to be a let down, they are rushing into this to much. The way I see it MW2 was there best game. It wasn't rushed and is still popular today. MW3 was a letdown although BO1/2 were alright. I think they need to hit the nail on its head with this one. The cod to end all cods. Although I will say the graphics look very nice and tidy and the campaign looks decent enough. They need to work on the community the trolls,assholes and annoying little kids.

I wonder will there be any midnight launches for Ghosts around Dublin? This is not the only quite cod forum I'm on avforums and the cod one is dead there! For the last couple of weeks i have tried other games like gtaV Battlefield 3 and the beta for 4 tried far cry and diablo but I lost interest In them all so roll on next week so I can start my prestige climb on my favourite game series ever Call Of Duty :-)

Saw a sign in the window of Smyths on Jervis St to say they were opening at 00:01 on 5th November.

Anybody have any ideas as to what the competitive game modes will be for MLG events?

I'm assuming SnD, with perhaps Search and Rescue, Blitz maybe, and if CTF is included probably.

The game really needs a hardpoint though, or a better king of the hill type mode, it kicked ass this year for BO2

Its called the ODIN Strike, when you get it, it will change the map around or so ive heard.

I loved MW2 it was fun it was a shooter. Mw3 was dissapointing blops wel i played them and got board..

I'd like to get ghosts but honestly I dont see the point, I can still have tons of fun on mw2 in terms of graphics, it doesn't look that amazing, which is unfortunate. Granted the over all aesthetical appearances arnt all that during run and gun but still it doesnt overly overwhelm me with that much interest

I think with up coming rleases from dice, ubisoft and respawn. Are activision playing there best card? Are they working on something awesome, or has the series turned into a capitalistic venture?

They relesed all this new engine of what they could do but what there giving is hardly cutting edge given the fact that , ps4, xbone are coming realy soon it just seem like they dont really care. But the interesting things is, I've Seen battle feild post screen shots and get well over 1000 likes and I've seen cod get maybe 400.

They just dont seem to have a presence or really care about the gamers. as much as other gaming groups do.

I can't help but wonder is the cod franchise diminishing in numbers slowly?

I'd love a 3/5/7 game again, not just a gamemode, the whole game. Dogs, Lodestar, etc all a load of ****ox

Would love if you got some points for helping with capping a flag. It's a pain when you take 95% of a flag and die just before its capped and get nothing.

Get rid of all ghost, dead silence, etc crap

Bring back specialist

Keep hardpoint

Make DOM the way it was before with no time limit

Really hoping this game is good. For years I just played COD but this year I picked up GTA and plan on getting Titanfall and BF4, so if this lets down it could be the last I buy.

As an aside, although there were/are obvious problems with MW3 and BLOPs2 I still really like them

I don't mind having a Nuke/MOAB/Nuclear Medal in the games. It gives a higher achievement to aim for - which, for me gives the game a bit more of a lifespan. When I've gotten all the camos or whatever I want to get I like to try and get a Nuclear Medal (or whatever the game may be).

I found I lost interest in BLOPS1 early and the lack of a high achievement like this was likely a factor

I have played most of the cods since world at war I mostly enjoyed the zombies mode and search and destroy was the game mode I liked most in multiplayer but I don't think I'll.be getting ghosts it's seems like they just put out the same stuff every year the trailers dont make it stand out for me and I dont care about a new dog I like other posters think they should of put hardpoint in again as it was fairly good in blops 2 I have played the battlefield 4 beta a small bit and it's good so I might get that instead I've never owned a battlefield game before so I'm afraid I'll get powned because ill be a noooob at it

yeah it does keep it interesting but i just wasnt a fan of the M.O.A.B. i hope this different version of it will be less annoying. after a m.o.a.b in mw3 went off, half of the lobby left most games...thats probably what annoyed me so much

I reckon with the new consoles, they will make a good go at this. Will bring back a lot of fan favourites and put them into one game.

Next year will be a lot different for them so this is the year they need to be flawless and hold onto the people straying over to other games. Im looking more forward to this one than last years.

I disagree. The best fun I've had in the last few CoD games has been on the Ground War maps. Nothing better than the chaos of eight on eight matches.

Pubs pfft, although i did go 70 - 9 on ground war domination last night, with Soar Emzz (formerly Epsilon Emzz) playing on the other team. I agree with adam 4 v 4 on a smaller map and 6 v 6 on a bigger is plenty.
