Tell us more about Ghosts!! :)

Sure, we played domination on a medium-sized map. Fistly, the game is gorgeous. I played it on PC as I was able to skip the entire queue because most wanted to play on PS4/One for the first time ever (at the time, I had already played both).

The first map was strikezone - good mix of indoor/ourdoor areas and choke points. Fast paced and good flag points.

I cannot remember the name of the second map but it was a destroyed city. It looked fantastic altogether. Lots of interlinked areas to give height advantage.

We were given very little time to pick classes/perks so I really can't comment. I do know on of the early perks is a support attack dog :D

Feck it, thinking back, I might just buy it too :)

    Cheers for that.

The attack dog sounds so crap but I suppose it'll just be like the Hunter killer drone from Blops2.

Haven't thought about the game that much but I'll definitely pick it up on 360. Getting a bit bored of GTA already

    Because people like the game?

Why do you do things that you enjoy?

My post above still stands. People still like the game. People still want to have all the latest maps/guns/add-ons etc.

It's not that hard to believe.

It doesn't necessarily, people haven't even played it yet so paying for add ons before release doesn't make all that much sense..

But people know what to expect. This isn't the first call of duty game.

I presume it includes the maps and special camo and that crap? If it works out cheaper it th long it's no problem.

well, i want a season pass and the free map for alot cheaper than i would than if i was paying for them from the ps store. its illogical not to get the hardened edition if youre actually a fan of call of duty and get the map packs..

steelcase, little gimmick wristband, a free map, then a season pass to get the 4 map packs free. works out alot cheaper buying the hardened edition. i think the guy above is one of them cod haters lol

People know what to expect sure, but despite all of the cod games looking and playing fairly similar I'm pretty sure every cod fan will have ones they liked and ones they'd seriously regret throwing 100 quid at. Nevermind the fact that Ghosts will be on a new engine.

I'm not a cod hater at all, I've actually bought them all. The map packs have generally been a waste of money and choosing to buy every single one of them before you see any of them, or even the gameplay on a brand new engine seems foolish to me.

as mentioned above...i know what im getting. im getting the usual call of duty with better graphics. ive watched ALOT of videos on youtube of people playing it at various conventions and listened to their opinions on the game so i know im going to love it. excuse me for wanting to get better value for my money :P

So after playing Ghosts and BF4 at Eurogamer, for the first time ever, I'm defecting to the BF4 camp! I think I enjoyed the pacing a bit more. Ghosts was also alot of fun though, but I think I need a change of pace :)

Will probably end up buying both eventually though :D

what did you think of ops 2 and if you played it, would you say its more or less the same as ghost?

What's the likelyhood of getting my hands on any hardened editions on or around release day without pre booknig?

nobody seems bothered with call of duty this year so i guess your chances are high. i didnt bother because irish shops are charging 115 euro i think. online its only 90ish but i just settled with the normal copy from videgamesplus.ca for 44 euro

I don't know anyone who's bothered about it this year tbh, any of the lads I know who played the other ones are either picking it up after BF4 comes out or not at all. It's out in what, 3 weeks? and there's barely any hype about it on here, this place was buzzing the last few years for it for ages before release. You can buy it anywhere on release day this year I'd say.

Never seen a CoD title thread just 18 pages long so close to release.

I could spam the crap outta it if you want, at least it'll look like somethings happening :D

I'm not even gonna pre order but will get it on the release day. I know there's not much talk of it here but I'd say from the 10 or so lads that I play BLOPs2 with, most (probably 9/10) will get the game on release day or very soon after

Yeah was just checking it out on Amazon can get it for £69 so that's not too bad might just go with that I reckon

I'm looking forward to it, went back onto MW3 just to get in the Infinity Ward Mk2 frame of mind for COD (it was laggy as hell), hope I can get my hands on a copy the day before release! I'm probably not as buzzed as I was last year with Blops 2, maybe because I was looking forward to Nuketown 2025 and Treyarch always seem to put in the extra effort on COD, but it will be interesting to see how the dedicated servers will help with the lag.

It's the same every year with people saying "Ah, I'll wait a few months before getting. Let them fix all the bugs ya know". Launch day they're online.

I don't need to pre-order it cause this country is so messed up. If anyone remembers, I got Black Ops II about a week before launch :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,787 ✭✭✭CptMackey

Just stumbled on a video of multiplayer . Said I wasn't going to get another cod for a long while after giving up on black ops 2 before Christmas last year. I'm surprised by the lack of hype.
Still prob won't pick it up but you never know. Not sure battlefield is my thing even tho I played a bit of 3.

Gta might have to keep my online fix going

Lol at some of the people saying they won't get it, last year all my mates said that but they went down at midnight launch for BO2

Hardened edition prebooked and paid off. Only doing it for the season pass rly, couldn't give a toss for the rest of the content.
